Had my first fill yesterday 2.5 cc. I can tell a little difference but not much.
the doc had a hard time hitting the port. I hope he got it..lol HE thought we was going to have to go to the X-ray room. but all is well. going to start the gym thing next week. Rite now bad storms went threw so it looks like it off to work for me:faint:

Good for you on your fill. You had your first one much sooner than I did. I hope it makes a difference for you.

:)Hang in there. Sometimes it takes a few days to notice the fill. Others told me that and it is so true.:nod:It took me three days to feel a difference in my first fill. Other than that how are you doing?:confused:and how do you feel. I had my band in August and I am not sorry. I still feel very lucky and happy I took this step:eek:

I was just looking to start a first fill thread! Perfect. Congrats on your fill!

I got my first fill on Friday (10/19), 5cc's in a 14cc band. The injection itself didn't hurt much at all, but my surgeon very roughly "massaged" the scar over the port area to separate the scar tissue from the port. That was quite uncomfortable. Did anyone else's doctor do this? Also, and this freaks me out a little, but why was the needle mark a good 3 inches below my scar? I could have sworn my port was right under my scar. Any thoughts?

My port is directly under my scar. I got a fill on 10/18 and the injection was about 1/8 of inch from scar. Do you have the AP band?

Not sure what an AP band is, I just know I have a big one, compared to the others.

mine was above my scar. The doc said the port is big but there is just one small place that you have to hit to adjust it. I have a 10cc band. He had top try about 4 times to hit it. I thought he went all the way threw it one time..... I suppose he hit it, I couldn't tell. I am not hardly as hungry as i was i don't think. but I can tell much about it, but i did start loosing again after the fill 27lb now.
