What's your exercise routine willybe? Sometimes changing that routine will make a huge difference. (or so I'm told)

Are you getting your water in every day? That really makes a difference for me! Good Luck! You are doing great!

Hey willybe,
25 pounds is nothing to frown about!!! Congratulations!! I was also going to ask you about your water intake. I find that to be very helpful in moving things along. I too get stuck at a certain weight for a week or 2. I think that it is just our bodies adjusting. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Willy....
WTG. You have done well.
But you're not happy with your loss and I can understand that. I find that if I shake up my eating routine and even raise my calorie count, that I can sometimes jog a weight loss. Sometimes you're eating too little and your body is confused and goes into "famine" mode.
Something to think about....

Another thing to watch out for Willybe is the sodium in those tv dinners. Unfortunately, convenience foods tend to be extremely high in sodium and that will make you retain water which of course translates to water weight.
Congrats on that great loss so far!

Hi Willy, I too had problems loseing after my surgery. I lost 18lbs, then did not lose for the next 3 months. I was still hungry and could eat like normal with slightly less appetite till I hit a good restriction which in my 10cc band was not till 7cc. I am now at a 10.5cc in the 10cc band. Everyone is different and I would compare myself to other people who just kept loseing all the time. I have always been slow. But, like she mentioned above, those high sodium processed foods and tv dinner things made me gain in water. I needed to cut back on those and eat more fruit and vegetables and water. My weight seems to go no where without enough water. So dont get discouraged. Look at what you are doing. You dont seem to be eating alot of calories for a man. I'D look at the types of food and water. Good luck. Shelly

Thanks. I am happy with what I lost so far and I fell much better. I will up the water. I am going to start keeping a log today and watch my fat, calories and protein intake and water consumption. I am looking forward to getting a adjustment. I do have one small problem to talk to doc about I have one stitch on my port scare that is outside, I think it is one of the stitches that hold the port in place, because it is like a nylon string its only about 1/8 long. probable nothing to worry about. no infection or anything.

Everyone is different. I've lost 25 lbs since July. Banded on June 29th. It's been so long since I've lost more than 12 lbs at a time that I think my body has been slowly adjusting. I also do things at time that get in my way. It's a process changing and I think we all adjust differently. Keep up the good work and you will get to your goal.

Congrats on your loss. I too at about 3-5 weeks after surgery had my stitshes slowly work to the surface. Eventually they worked their way out. I think I had that happen on 3 of my incisions. They eventually dissolved enough where I could get ahold of and slip em out. They were just loose in there. I have had inside stitches in my knee and they worked their way to the surface too. Keep up the good work!

Mine is on my port scar. i didn't bother it, it looks like the kind that don't dissolve I am afraid they are holding my port in place. Ill know the 17th. hopefully I will start my weight loose again.

Willy.. congrats on your weightloss so far.
I think you will find after your first adjustment that things will be looking DOWN DOWN DOWN... (at least the numbers on the scale will!)
keep us posted on the doc visit!

My stitches came out yesterday. I am looking forward to the adjustment, I can tell I want to eat more , but not that much more so it has not been bad.
It did look like i lost a couple more, but with my cheap scales you shift your weight around and you can make them read anything within a 10 lb area of you weight. new scales are on my Santa's list.
