Hi All,

Just thought I post saying that I excercised today when I really, really, really didn't want to. Normally, I'm pretty good about it. It was very hot and humid here today. I just put my mind to it, got it done and felt totally better afterwards.

I see this as part of the headwork I need to do. Just get it done and be glad later!:sun_smiley:

That is how I was yesterday. . .every minute I was on the elliptical and treadmill I was making myself. But when I got finished I felt great. Sometimes we just gotta make ourselves get off our butts!

Congrates to you for pushing yourself. I am trying hard to do this myself, but boy isn't it hard. I know I always feel better after I push myself to do it too. I wish one day I would wake up and love to exercise. I used to many many years ago. I want to feel that way again.

I am so glad you did it for YOU!!!

Well done! Each workout is one step closer to goal...

That's why I dont understand people's trouble with excercise.

I dont always want to either. But I think its much easier to go and do something you dont like or dont feel like doing for half an hour, make a tangible step towards your goal, finish it and get it over and done with than it is to spend months, years even constantly having to watch your diet, not eat when you want to etc. You never ever "finish" that.

Exercise therefore gives you a real achievable goal, something you know you've done that has helped. YOu can do anything for half an hour! It works, it keeps the weight away and it requires way less willpower than keeping your diet on track.

So well done!

Good points Jacqui. I went one step further. I needed to find the directions to my excercise bike so I could figure out where to plug in the ac adapter. Well, I spent at least 15 minutes looking for the directions and reading them. Now that is a NSV. In the past, this would have been more than enough reason for me to give up. Now as I sit here sweating and headed for the shower I feel great!!!

You inspired me to go today. . .1 hour on the treadmill! Burned 504 calories!!! It was worth the effort. I worked out 6 days last week and ended up loosing 3.4 lbs this week! And I am in desperate need of a fill. Like Jacqui says, working out can make up for some other no so great choices in our diets ( I had plenty of those this week!)

Good for you! I hate, and I mean hate, just about every form of exercise and I know how hard it is to force oneself. Posts like this are inspiration for those of us whose butts are dragging.

Way to go everyone. Especially you Stac1982. I'm excited I inspired you. I'm so glad I posted this. It's just great when we can enourage each other. Congrats on your recent weight loss.

I hear you bestfriendsgirl...it sure is hard sometimes to excercise!
