lol Bear - ok I'll walk an extra lap around the track just for you - I might be cussin' but I'll do it! lol I was just sharing your total loss with my fiance - I brag about everyone here all the time - kind of nice to be banded myself so I can brag on myself tee hee.......

my goal for Halloween - hmmm let's say:

C: 259.5, G: 234 (trying for -25.5 lbs/3 lbs a week for 8 weeks)

I may be crazy - but that's 3 lbs a week and since I'm a bandster baby I'm going to go for it while I can! It's ON!!!! (and boy if I hit this goal will it ever mess with my Christmas Weight-Loss Goal ROFL)

Im in too. I finally got my surgery date. It is Sept 25th! SO...Im setting the really ambitious goal of 30lbs. Gasp! This is the mini-goal in my personal "299lbs by Thankgiving Challenge".

I love the thought of weighing in on "hump day" - it's great motivation for the mid-week slumps! (yes, I know - I'm the obnoxious poster with a new band lol) :nod:

Chrispy - gotta tease you (216/208) - think you're gonna eat some Halloween cany the whole month of October? lol -- I went for 8 lbs last month and blew that out of the water (getting banded helped) and I chuckled when I saw you "giving in" and signing up lol - come on girl you CAN do this - honestly, I think this is the BEST thread challenge I have done in over a year!!! it WORKS!!! especially when we exercise extra just for BEAR - you go guy!

Oh Mo, I think my days of dropping weight like crazy are over. For months now my weight loss has slowed down to 1/2 a pound to a pound a week. I have been stalled for 5 weeks so, so losing a pound a week would actually be great for me. lol. I know what I need to do though - make better food choices and kick up the exercise a notch. I join the challenges because they really do motivate me - they are great! But thanks for the vote of confidence. Nothing would make me happier than to make this goal, and you've just given me a little more of a reason to make it. :)

MrsS, do what I do...make everyone else exercise for you. I personally just went for a walk just for you, two blocks (sorry I would have gone more further, but I drove to the store, drove a block away and walked a block in and a block out....it is Midnight after all.)

Everyone....step it up, get up, walk up and down the stairs in your house a bunch of times....something...DO SOMETHING MrsS has .9lbs to ONEDERLAND.

I'm so excited for you - I think I'll go RUN down my stairs and RUN back up them lol -- seriously - it is so darn awesome to see everyone "sticking with it" when it comes to exercise -- we are all working hard at finding creative ways to get our exercise in too! (hence the Bear walking an extra block in and out of the store at midnight - way to go man!)

I've been trying to be proactive in my exercise attempts, for example...for work I drive into NYC occasionally, I park in the basement garage and then take an elevator the 5 floors to our server farm. Instead, not much of a change, but I have been walking the length of the block underground, up the 1 floor ramp from the basement to the street level and then around the block and into the building (elevator from there). I do the same thing coming out. It's not a lot, but it's something, plus anywhere I go during the day I walk and go get lunch, if I bring it, I walk somewhere to eat it and walk back.

Now, it's up to you people...so...get out and walk for me.

Haha, not really. Let's see, my weight was bouncing between 216.5 and 218 for the couple of weeks before vacation. When I came home I was 217.4 so I figured I stayed about the same. I think I was so sick of food after eating all the crap I did in Disney that I started eating really healthy this week and bam, within 3 days the scale moved. Who ever would have guessed that if you ate right you'd lose weight?! lol. Anyway, I'm going to try and stay on the healthy eating wagon, even during my trip to NYC this weekend. I want to be 199 by New Years!

OK no change for me this week, I think it has something to do with the 4 bottles of Jack Daniels last weekend on my camping trip. I ate well, I didn't go for the chips and crap that was being passed around. I focused on eating proteins and there was no veggies to be found...but I didn't eat things like chips, peanuts or cookies. I did however drink....a lot....I arrived Friday and left Sunday morning, 4 bottles disappeared in that time. 70 calories a shot adds up quick I guess....back to the hard work.

I haven't posted in while because there has not been much to post about. I got another fill, but I am not sure I can make it to my goal. New goal is to keep all candy out of the house until the last possible minute and do the best I can.

I, on the other hand, gained this week. Perhaps it had something to do with my TOM, eating cookie dough, no exercise and too much drinking. I refuse to change my ticker unless it goes down. :)

Well you guys I have not posted for a few weeks was feeling a little discouraged because the scales had not moved and i actually gained 2 pounds (280) then I went back to 278 last week. I went for a fill on yesterday and I hope that It will help. The scale at home today was 275.6. Yesterday at the doctors office I weighed in at 278.6. So I will go with the one at home of 275.6 HeHe!!!! I also changed my goals because it seems that I am a slow loser.

Reese could you change my numbers. Thanks!!! Everyone is doing great!!!!

JDru...girl you are crazy. My plateau didn't break...it just cracked a tad. I've been over the same 2 pounds for a month it seems. I too refuse to change my ticker up if it is within ounces of the previous weight. I can't do it! I have a mental block!! I'm getting my drink on tomorrow night...it will either make me gain or slap my metabolism in the fannie and start moving again. We shall see...

Everyone's doing well...keep it up.

Ugh...got back from vacation and I'm 172.2! I really need to step it up, I've kind of fallen off the wagon here. Eating a lot of crap, not exercising. I resolve to make the next 2 weeks better. I'm definitely not going to make my goal, but this has been a great challenge!

Mo, I so wish that I didn't care what it said. I have been at the same place for so long that I just figured it was the same....the other night I had a birthday drinkfest and the next day I was at 220. I thought I had done hit the birthday jackpot. The next day...it was back up to 223 again and it has been give or take a few tenths of a pound ever since. I think the alcohol just dehydrated me temporarily. Ah...such as life. I will weigh in tomorrow....

Well I'm up to 205.5 so I have gained a pound since I began. I am doing hour long brisk walks every other day and xbike for 45 to 60 minutes a day every day. I am not eating things I shouldn't, or drinking them either.
I'm not going to make my goal on this. At least I am developing an exercise habit and my pants and bra are getting looser. :0)

Start 226.2/ Current 223.8 (.4 this week) I got a fill on Monday, so here's hoping that I have a good number on Halloween to round out this challenge. I doubt I'll make my goal, but anything down is good.

OK well I officially am pissed...still no change...walking, watching every calorie, working like 900 hrs a week...and NOTHING.

Congrats to all of you people who are doing so well, perhaps you would all be kind enough to say foul things about my scale since I have officially run out of foul language to shout at it.

I didn't make it to my goal either. . .and it is totally my fault. I didn't workout a lot and a lot of the time I ate whatever I wanted. A lot of what ifs. . .but I am just 3 lbs away, so I guess that is not too bad.

I swore a blue streak at your %^&#$ scale. My weight is standing still. I have developed an exercise habit though and will add 30 minutes on the treadmill today for you to my 60 minutes on the xbike. Maybe it will work for you. Hope so Deb

Bear - I cuss at my own scale, so one more scale won't be a big deal! lol --- do remember "steroids" and other medicines (as you have said) are causing this - keep doing what you're doing!!!
