Can't wait to get first fill

I got banded on 7/24, it was a new type of band that is bigger so I have very little restriction right now. I can eat anything which is a bummer for me because I thought I would not be able to eat very much right away, I have lost some weight since surgery but not much:sad:. I'm frustrated, I go in on the 5th for a fill, can't wait, I want to see the scale move, sorry I'm whining.

It's normal not to have restriction without a fill, so don't stress out too much. After the swelling went down after surgery I could eat anything and everything. And it usually takes a few fills before you get restriction so try to be patinet. You are going to do great!

Hi Corina. Jess is right, sometimes it can take a couple of fills before you get good restriction. Many people don't loose during this time. It will get better when you get restriction :)

This is making thing that maybe I should call my doctor and get my first fill, as I know I can eat more than I'd like to be able to, and my weight loss seems to be stalled. Thoughts?

I do not have much restriction either, but I have not been nearly as hungry as i was before the band, so i have still lost weight. 19 pounds so far. I get my first fill on Fri and i hope for some restriction. Donna
