help!!!having surgery on 8/24

my surgeon is dr.sheldon randall
haven't met anyone yet who has had lap band procedure done
please write and give me some insight as what to expect

Hi Marye---My name is Clara. I will have my band on the 27th of Aug. I am struggling through my 2 week liquid diet right now. I started it on Monday. So far I have lost 7.8 pounds. This is a good place to get info and support. Good luck on your up coming surgery.

Hey there! Had my surgery on 08-06-07. I only remember somthing about moving onto the OR table and being told to take some deeep breaths. Woke up after in post op. When asked if I was in pain and where all I could say was yes, back hurts. Course I have a bad back! Was moved to my room, given no water or ice, I did get those little sponges on a stick. Believe me, they are life savers. My mouth was like the Sahara Desert! Don't forget to ask for them!! When I was taken down for my x-ray I ended up almost passing out. Just let people know how you are feeling and they will make everything all right. Good luck! Stay in touch!
