Anyone from the Richmond VA area?

I am scheduled for a seminar later this month. I am in the learning process, tied to this computer for several days now reading, reading, and reading. Anyone banded at St Mary's Hospital with either Dr Gregory Schroder or Dr Matthew Brengman? I haven't read of any doctors performing lapband at the hospital in Mechanicsville. :confused:

I was born and raised in Richmond. I have lived in Charlotte, nc since 1997. I try to make it home at least once a year. Again good luck and god bless. Oh! I have a good journal of my journey if you care to read.

I am being banded Jan. 14 at St. Mary's but by Dr. Baustista of Commonwealth Surgeons. I have seen at least one other person on this site who used that practice.

Have you made a decision whether to have the surgery or not?

i am not from richmond --- but i'm your neighbor if you ever just want that feeling that someone close by is out there!!!! i live in annapolis, md and was banded at GBMC in baltimore... one of my very best friends lives in bristow - so i'm down that way every now and again..... AAAAAAAAAAAAAND my BBFF (see profile pic) recently moved back to VA! so you'll be invited to join us on our once a month (or so) lunch dates in the DC area!!!!!!!!!! :)

Hi there! I am in the Newport News area - about an hour from Richmond. Welcome! I was banded Jan, 2007. It has been a slow, but interesting journey. I am down just about 100 pounds.

I'm from Chester and just had lap band last Wedneday at St. Mary's. Dr. Bautista was my surgeon. So far, I'm doing well. Still sore and my shoulder still bothers me. I go back tomorrow for the first post-op, so we'll see how that goes. Keep me in mind if you'd like a chat buddy.

Dr. Bautista did my surgery last Wednesday (12/8). Good luck!
