Boobs now, Tummy later?

I know this is an odd time for me to be thinking about this, but eh.. :crazy:

I was thinking of getting a bewbie job now, and holding off on the tummy tuck until long after I hit goal. I know I'm going to need a reduction and possibly even some augmentation, but what I'm not sure of is how more weight loss will affect the perky girls. Will more weight loss cause them to droop after surgery? Anyone know?

I'm so tired of looking so huge on top when its mostly skin rolled up and stuffed into my bra.

That being said...
I don't know if I would want to have anything done until I was at goal or close to it... just because "What if" things do change more after you have went to all the trouble of surgery?

I'm definitely getting a breast lift! I think a youthful bustline makes so much difference. Maybe in a year or two, but its not expensive here, $7,000 or less and I could do it next week if I really wanted to.

But I was in despair of my boobs ever shrinking. I guess I'm lucky because they are in proportion to me, you'd never look at me and say I have enormous boobs, but they are an E cup - well I think a DD now, if I were to go bra shopping.

Yet, suddenly, in this last 14lb window, they've shrunk markedly. One of them is even pointing upwards again. Yeah, I know, its ideal that BOTH point upwards, lol. If you want to lose 50, your breasts *probably* will shrink quite a lot in that last bit of your journey. But it kind of depends if you've got big boobs because you just do or whether its entirely weight related, you'd know that better than any of us.

What I've decided - I want hip and thigh lipo, a bit of stomach lipo (but I may be surprised and be told that a mini tummy tuck would be better, I dont think I'd want to do it though) and a breast lift - I'm starting to go for some initial consultations, get a few people's ideas. That's the only way you're going to know what's likely and possible.

I was a 48HH when I had my reduction....18 years ago. They were getting saggola again after a few years. I was a 42DD and had a lift 4 years ago. I'm now about a 40D.

When I had the reduction I asked the Dr how much tissue they took he said 900 cc off the right side and 1100 cc off the right side. I told him to tell me the amount in human terms...LOL.... he said 4 1/2 measuring cups off the right and 5 1/2 off the left. I lost 14 lbs from the reduction.

I could have donated to several people with what I had taken off!! LOL

I agree with boob job first then tummy tuck. I have 38d's but they are heading south since I turned 40 and I would like to perk them up a bit. So, I'm going with boob job first then, if I was to need any tummy work it can come at goal.

You need to reward yourself with this as you've worked so hard as well as Dawg getting this up and running and with all the sickness in your family, do something for yourself, you deserve it and it will even give you the much needed energy to take care of everyone else knowing you feel better about yourself. You go girl!

if you really don't want to wait unitl you reach goal would a 2 stage option be the way to go, stage 1 being sometime soon and aimed only at reducing some of the sag rather than the whole deal, then wait until goal and have the final reduction and augmentation done. If you are planning on losing another 40 to 50 i would say that you would have to allow for the girls going a bt further south, thats why i say i tin you would be better off waiting until goal other than perhaps some basic tidying now- why don't you go and speak to a PS and get an opinion

Hi Pnut, I love that you've coined a new term bewbies, vs. boobs. A nice change. I've had a consult for this and the surgeon at that time had wanted me to lose a certain percentage of weight first. I'm there now, but I think I'll wait until I get to goal. I've heard two schools of thought on this. Yes they will shrink and no they won't. I know very scientific right?!

I learned that though we can specify what we want a surgeon will work with you to find a size and shape they think is going to best compliment your body shape. Given that, I think I'd wait until you very close to down to go through the surgery.

I thinking if it's possible to find a plastic surgery practice with a number of specialists perhaps you can get an overall consult and see if you can't find out about the whole shooting match at the same time. Maybe even get a discount or am I dreaming now?

I think I would fix the biggest thing hanging first. If your boobs are below your waist, do that. But if you tummy is hanging almost to your knees, you HAVE to fix that.

Stand naked in front of the mirror. Where do your eyes go first? THAT is the part to lift, reduce, tuck, suck, etc.

The weight loss has fixed my boob problems, but that tummy has to go.

Paul - If I were an actor I would probably tell you the teeth. Because they are OUT there. You can always hide your tummy in the right clothes. Telly will tell you I am a "teeth" person, I could never play hide and seek at night, if I smiled my twofers would give me away.

Yeah, on my list of fantasy cosmetic surgery, its a mini tummy tuck - I dont have an apron but I am jiggly, hip and thigh lipo and a breast lift.

DH's ears prick up at the breast lift but for me its the last of the three that I would do. Its hips and thighs I'd do first - because they are the hardest to hide and dress for. They're on glaring display in any bathing suit for starters. My stomach is easy to "hide" because its flat, so when I'm clothed, you cant tell whether its a bit soft or not. Even in a bathing suit - although its not bikini worthy. Boobs, well, where do I go braless anyway? Again, I'm not going to look ANY different dressed than I do now. The hips and thighs are the only things that would make a noticeable difference to anyone but me. So those are what I'd do.

Same with the teeth. If its a choice, I'd do those first because its going to be noticeable to everyone.

I want a tummy tuck/thigh lift combo, the new arm lift procedure where the scar is in your armpit, and breast implants. Of course, all of this will have to wait until after we have a baby...whenever that may be.

Can't help but join in here. The socks that hang from my chest with the rocks in them, the ones I roll up and stuff in my bra, are most definitely being DONE at goal. DH said "yes" with not hesitation! Good news is I went from 42D to 38C with my recent loss of weight! And oddly enough, my tummy is shrinking up nicely. Course we'll see how it looks at goal. LOL!!

My doc says tummy 1st, boobs 2nd after about 6 months to 1 year. This is because with the tummy tuck, everything gets pulled from all directions and this could potentially pull the girls south even if you've already had them done. Makes sense to me.

I am not sure what I will ever get done based on cost, but I am hoping to do gut, chest, legs and then arms. I have so much skin it might just be worth while to slice me around my chest and just above my socks and stitch them together.
