I was just curious about foods that your bands do not like. Me, I am having a hard time with rice. I have never PB'd but rice gets stuck in my throat and is hard to swallow.

 <-----this smiley is awesome, LOL!

I have a hard time with grilled boneless chicken breast and any type of white bread. Toasted whole wheat or 12-grain bread is fine, but I rarely eat it.

Most all Chinese food is a no for me, except for the soup.

Can only eat the top off of a pizza, never the bread.

Most anytime its a noodle and chicken combo I have trouble with even one-two bites.

Most cold ceareal....yet I continue to eat it and end up throwing most of it away, even if I make the smallest of bowls.

FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES!!!!!!!!!!

I can't tell you how sad this makes me. I used to LOVE summer fruit. I'd live on peaches and nectarines all summer long. Now the smallest bite gets stuck. Same with raw veges - red bell peppers, raw carrots, everything I loved to munch on.

Of course, potato chips go down easy :-(

Totally agree on fresh fruit and veggies...it really does make me sad.

Its so true that sometimes its so much easier (physically) to eat junk than good food.

I can't eat chips, lettuce, any bread of any kind and absolutely no soda. It hurts!

I can't eat dry chicken, broccoli, doughy breads, or gooey melted cheese. So far I can eat everything else I've tried including raw fruits and veggies; but I'm still in that relative newbie "try it to see if it'll go down" phase, and the list may grow over time.

Fibrous veggies, doughy bread or pasta, meat w/out lube, beef jerkey if not chewed EXTREMELY well, bacon if it is fatty, apple skin, hamburgers

Pizza, chicken breast, breads, rice & pasta. All my favorites.

Chocolate goes down great, my down fall.

Thankfully, so far only dry-ish chicken is difficult.
Almost anything CAN be, if I eat too fast, if I eat too big of bites, or if I don't chew it very well...most of the problems I have are--guess what?--caused by ME! (wouldn't ya know it?)
It's interesting to read what foods cause problems.

Lol.

There's nothing I cant eat. But some things are more difficult. Cake and croissants and the like feel like ground glass going through my band. I dont get a golfball with them, they just hurt going through, deep inside. Anything in bread - burgers, sandwiches, rolls are fine as long as I eat s-l-o-w-l-y. The only thing I've been majorly stuck on is meat, but that was only once. I dont eat a lot of things like steak anyway, generally when I eat meat its casseroled or slow cooked or stirfried.

I have my times though, generally at night when anything at all is hard to eat. Not so hard that I've ever PB'd but I quite often just plain dont want dinner and it doesnt want to go down.

No problem with fruits and vegetables so far - thank goodness. Surprisingly, I can't eat jello. It sits there and hurts for a long time before going down. How weird is that?

I have to have something to lube chicken breast, but other than that I can eat almost anything as long as I do it slowly.

I'm so glad to hear that others are having a bit of trouble with chicken. It's only my fave food in the world and of course the only one I get stuck on, generally. If I remember to chop it fine and chew chew chew, I can get through it.

One thing I've found is that nothing helps a stuck food. I just have to stop eating, then walk around. Sometimes I can come back to the exact same food a little later with no problem. For example, for breakfast I had a tortilla with some old chicken stir fry in it, along with plain yogurt. I heated it up and it was gonna taste SO good. Well, I ate some of the chicken before I dove into the tortilla part and whammo....stuck. I had to wait a few hours...came back and it went down fine. *sigh* Why is it always your favorite thing?

Hi, I am 3 weeks out from my surgery and struggling emotional because I am giving up my drug of choice. This has been interesting to hear. I read one person can't drink soda, anyone else have input on that?? I love to slam an ice cold soda occassionally, of course I realize my days of slamming anything are numbered. How about alcohol?? thanks Terri

Roast beef/steak, I can't eat it, but I can eat pot roast if it's really juicy. Thank goodness for that because I loves me some beef. I can't eat much rice. If the pieces of rice are loose from each other then I can have it but not white rice, not a rice bake, no rice in soup. It's weird though, some things I can be eating it without any problem and then I'll take a bite that just does not like me at all.

I've had a few sips of soda but it gets my tummy so gassy I just stay away. It feels like I have a baby kicking around in there sometimes. Heh-heh! :tongue1:

Soda is a rare treat for me now, but I can drink it - slowly, and warm.

I had 4 tequila sunrises on Saturday and they went down fine (too fine, unfortunately lol)

food.

No seriously, I am sticking to liquids a few more days and then hopefully after this last unfill I can eat anything in moderation. Any suggestions on what to start with?

When I'm coming off a fill I typically start off with stuff like mashed potatoes and chicken noodle soup (sans the little chicken blocks). Bananas. Stuff like that. Mushy, but mushy with substance.
