I have used it and it is a great site, i tink quite a few people here use it, another one that is similar and also good is Fitday.com I acutally padi for there downloadable program to journal my food intake , weight loss goals, nutrion goals, measurements and activity levels- i tink from memory it cost me $19 and has been very useful, the site has a fgree version that has reduced features but is still very good. Thes sites are really good tools

I highly recommend sparkpeople.com and have, on many occasions, shared articles from their site here on b2g. As others have mentioned they offer a huge variety of nutritional information as well as exercise programs and meal planning/logging tools.

I recently posted about the founder of sparkpeople, Chris Downey. Check out this video (http://www.myfoxchicago.com/myfox/MyFox/pages/sidebar_video.jsp?contentId=1473446&version=1&locale=EN-US) about Chris!

This is a wonderful website to use for tracking food, exercise, videos, articles, etc. It's just great - a must to keep you on track and to communicate with others.

I have been using sparkpeople.com for almost two years now and I love it! I especially love the recipe section and the fact that you can enter your own recipes and it will calculate the nutritional information for you.

Another good place my nutritionist gave me is www.thedailyplate.com (http://www.thedailyplate.com)

There are a lot of calorie breakdowns by item/food provider.....

Hi, I'm Marissa and I'm a SparkPeople addict.

I've been a member for several years (obviously not completely 'active' all of that time), and I LOVE it. I log every morsel of food, and every minute of exercise there. It's so motivational for me. Love it, love it, love it.

Find me there! There's a link to my SparkPage below on my signature. I already have several of you added.

OMG I have the biggest ego lately. Everytime I check on this site, or sparkpeople I have some kind of message from another hot chica. The wife is going to kill me, but I LOVE the ladies.

Rissa, I added ya to my pages as well! You look absolutely amazing.

Another NC girl to join the troublemakers at Coyote Joe's I guess. I am going to have to make a special trip down on a Wednesday night just to make sure I don't miss out on those events.

Oh thanks, Bear. You're too sweet. :wink2: With all of the compliments you give out (among all of your other fantabulous qualities), how could the hot chicas not love you!? I have yet to join in on the trouble making at Coyote's ... I don't enjoy dancing in the least. However, I do enjoy drinking. Hmm, maybe I should try it out one Wednesday night. Hehe.

Jess- I added you too but you need to update the weight ticker on your spark page it has you listed at 285 and you are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY skinnier than that by now!

Marissa- I have been tracking my food for the past week and it is really addictive, and sometimes VERY eye opening...

My hubby and I went to a country western bar last night with some of his friends I had 5 drinks because every one bought a round for everyone else and there were 5 of us, this is the first time I have had anything alcoholic (other than 2 glasses of wine) since being banded... So I go in this morning to log them and 5 rum and pineapples equaled like 900 calories, I about fell over in my chair!! I need to bring my crystal lite packets with me the next time we got to a bar... lol Now we did do a lot of dancing about 1.5hrs worth which SP said burned 690 calories so in the future I either need to drink less or dance more, lol.

Oooooh lord, Michelle -- You are too funny! That picture was taken last year this time ... I was at my highest weight there. :ohwell: I used to love that pic of me, but when I look at it now I'm like "Whoa, I look huge there." But thank you! That's SO nice!

And you're right ... It IS addictive and eye opening. Eeek. 900 calories for a little buzz! But don't be too hard on yourself since you did shake your groove thing for an hour an a half!!
