That isn't silly at all! You'll see me and my pooch (yellow lab) walking down Tryon from Bennington Place to Erwin Road a lot. And of course, Target, HT, Bi-Lo, Old Navy, Marshalls, PetSmart and Starbucks :) I was just at Target last night! Oh, I'll be at Home Depot tomorrow night... :)

We just got word today that Kevin's Grandfather is not doing well. He has congestive heart failure and the doctors have said that there is nothing they can do. We are just in waiting mode right now. He has been sick for a very long time and always comes through, but it looks really bad right now. I will be there unless something happens.

Hey everybody! I have been without a computer for awhile now and just got it back up and running. I've been looking at everyone's pictures and 'WOW!!!'. Everyone is looking so skinny.

I won't be able to join you guys again this month. I had a family commitment come up. Found out my aunt has pancreatic cancer and unfortunately the prognosis isn't very good. We're making a trip to visit her this saturday.

I have searched and searched for the Achieve One drinks locally. They sell them on bariatriceating.com and they are $26.50 for 12 bottles. With all the problems I've had with protein, I don't want to spend that much money to just find out that I can't drink them. What flavors do ya'll carry, Kim? I need to get down there to see you guys again anyway, but if I do make it down there I might need to get a few of those to try!

I felt so connected with all of the bandsters there today--with all the differnent NSV's like changing jobs, changing locations, making a decision about fills (me), strength training---I love Stitchey. She rocks big time. we showed each other our FITTED bras from Nordstrom's. I had a great time today because I saw others following their own paths--Jenn to the coast, Kathy to the new exercise routine, Betty finding a filling and nutritious food she could eat, Shelley attending the boot camp...NC bandsters just plain rock... we are working to find our real selves, enjoying what life has given us, and shaking free of the obseession of weight and calories and carbs and all that stuff. I had lunch with the best of the best (and their little children). Thank you, God, for the NC bandsters.

Also, I met Stitchy and based on her advice made a few decisions for myself. Never let it be said that we don't need one another.

I LOVED having lunch today. THere was delicious food, wonder conversation and so much kiddie interaction, I really enjoyed myself. I tried to bring home a handsome little fella named curtis but forsome reason he refused. I had a great time, too bad it was a farewell lunch of sorts. Next time, I will see you at the beach. I think this month would have been lunch as usual except I got to say hellos and good byes, so many new faces. It was exciting. We went to the mall afterwards and did a little build a bear and then went home. Wow shopping makes you tired. I hope everyone had a good time. Sip sip sip. Glo you were so nice. Yesterday was awesome! We do have a wonderful, supportive group!

I'm sorry I haven't been on here so much lately :( Between working 60 hour weeks, my lap top being down, and not being able to access the board from work, it's been challenging to get on here for any length of time. I'm on from my hubbies desktop; it's OK in a pinch, but not my preference and often he's using it.

I can't wait for pictures too! :D

Someone asked me where I got my BIG pink and green canvas tote yesterday, and I am afraid I never responded? There's a store in Franklin Square, Gastonia, to the right of Books A Million. I believe the name is Bangles & Bags? It was $20. For as much as I use it, it seems like a decent price to me. I've only had it for 3 weeks, so we'll see how well it holds up?

Yesterday was great! I love our monthly get togethers...they really center me and help me to get focused. It is just so nice to be able to meet up and talk about everything that is going on and get some perspective on things.

I am so sorry that we ended up missing the lunch. I always look forward to the monthly get-to-gathers. I am embarrassed to admit that hubby and I had gone out Friday night and did not get home until very late. We ended up waking up at 11:30. By the time we would have showered, gotten dressed, and got there everyone would have been leaving.

Also I did not have anyone's # to call and let you all know we were not going to be there.
Kim did you ever email out the list?

But I look forward to seeing the pictures and it sounds like you all had a great time. Which I would expect nothing less with this group!

I have to tell all of you how absolutely delightful it has been to have met so many of you. I can't believe how all you NC bandsters get together every month. What a wonderful community you have. Thank you so much for allowing me to join you. I wish that there had been more time to visit with each and everyone of you.

And here is an extra special thanks:thankyoub::yourock: to Kathy who did pick up and return of yours truly for your lunch. It was more driving than she thought it would be and I appreciate it so much. She even stopped at a grocery store so I could lay in some supplies. I won't have to shop again for a couple of days.

Kevin's grandfather passed early Saturday morning and we were on our way to TN (but that is a whole nother story that I will tell y'all about later; in short, our 7 hour drive turned into a 12 hour drive) I hate that I missed you Stitchy.
