I thought you'd never ask.
I have been banded since December 2005 and I am very glad I made the decision to get banded. Since that time I have lost 98 pounds although I have been stuck at 98 pounds since early June.
I started a new job witha new company on June 1st and there has been a great deal of stress in my life due to the career change. The good news is that I have not put on any weight, so what may seem to be a problem to many is a huge victory to me in that I have not gained any weight during an extremely stressfull period in my life, "Cheers loudly"
I work in the field of adult education for a large Global computer fiirm so I travel quite a bit, the last 3 months has seen me in Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, Denver, England, Ireland, Montreal and Quebec City and once again no weight gain. "More loud cheering"
I feel certian that once I have made my way through the learning curve the weight will once again begin to fall off. Stress has always been a major trigger for me when it comes to weight gain.
I have been blessed with a great life that includes two great kids who love their dad and a great wife who loves me as much as I love her, she is my center and they are my world. It is because I needed to have more time with them that I decided to get banded.
I had a heart attack three years ago and had lost some weight gained some weight lost some more and gained some more when I finally decided I needed help. I was in the pool with my wife one day and I began to weep, she asked why and I told her I was afraid that I would soon be dead if I didn't find a solution. I told her about the band and within a week we had made an appointment to see the surgeon.
I now feel strongly that I will live many more years and that I will be at my goal weight within two years.
I was recently attending a training session on presentation skills and one of the things we were required to do was to get up in front of the group and introduce ourselves I ended my intro with the same words I would know like to use to answer the initial provocation;
