Oh yessss...Sounds like you have a bad case of reflux and it isnt pleasant! The acid in the stomach is coming back up the esophagus and burning your throat.
I have been suffering the same thing..like someone is strangling you at the base of your throat? Mine was slightly different in that it was all through the day and didnt get worse at night but your symptoms are classic.
I went to my doc and only a complete unfill has calmed it down. It might come to that but in the mean time...tiny tiny meals, chewed and with 4 hrs between them. No tomoatoes, chocolate, peppermint and maybe avoid dairly. Don't eat or drink anything for 3 to 4 hours before bed and don't lie down for at least 4hrs after eating. You can also raise the head of your bed (not with pillows, from the base) and see if that helps.
I was put on losec (called something else there) for a few weeks and have just stopped taking it to see how things are doing.

ALis is right on, it sound like you have reflux, you may be too tight or just irritated, you could try avoiding food and fluids for a couple of hours prior to bed, sleep with you head slightly elevated but if you feel stomach contents coming back in the night, it will probably need an unfill at least for a while ( maybe some losec as well) to get things to settle down. Do not ignore it as you can be at risk of inhaling that stuff into you lungs while you sleep ( the result is aspiration pneumonia_ having been there done that I can tell you it is not pleasant). Once you are unfilled you get rapid relief of the problem than after a couple of weeks they can re fill you

How late are you eating and what are you eating before you go to bed? It does sound like reflux. Call your Dr. and ask them what to do. Mine put me on liquids for a few days and it seemed to get better. Then I went in to have it checked out and my pouch was stretched.
Nothing to fool around with. You poor thing, I can't imagine going thru that for 2 weeks!
Hope it gets better!

I think you might be too tight which will cause night time reflux, coughing, etc. That happened to me back in March and I had to have a slight unfill. I hope you start feeling better soon.

It does sound like your to tight.
I would call your dr TODAY! Ask him for a reflux RX. I take mine everyday. In the mean time good advice from everyone. But take a reflux med. And I'd go for liquids for a few days.

Thank you so much for checking on me, yes I am feeling better,, although i was getting very distrought and worried, with all the late night being afraid to lie down and sleep.. I stoped eating/ drinking 3 hours before bed (which is a huge challenge because I often work late) and Im taking 150 of zantac in the evenings and 75 in the mornings,, I have had no problems for a week,, im still scared though,, i get that ,, waiting for it to happen feeling some times..
any how, thanks again for checking in on me that makes me feel so special!!
thanks for being awesome!
For me, if I don't stop eating 3 hours before bed, I will have reflux. Period. If I do, I won't. It's only an issue if I break my own rules :)
