6/19/07 UPDATE: Well, it's on hold again! Oh, the drama BUT the hope goes on!!!.
Many of you already know that I have not had the leaking band replacement surgery yet because I have been fighting UHC & company to pay the cost. I do sincerely have a wonderful lawyer who is getting it resolve . . . I pray. It's been over 8 months since my leak but I'm waiting on that final approval letter.
Two weeks ago I got a call for my lawyer saying that it was approved and then last Friday, she called me after checking on the approval letter's status and was told something had come up and UHC had told the company rep that I had not applied before 12/30/06 [it took till 1/22/07 to due dilligence for filling] which is UHC's recommeded reason for not approving the replacement . . . so, the lawyer and company and UHC are meeting sometime. Therefore the status is that it "still in review". Then the rep told my lawyer that she was going on vacation this week. So it's more waiting.

IT is the Lord who is good even when we can see it; He is always and in all things going before us! Today, just 5 minites ago I got the message from my lawyer, Kelly Lindstrom kelley@obesitylaw.com., that my company (which is self-insured) is reversing the UHC denial for the replacement of my lap-band. Kelly was sucessful in getting my company to over-ruling UHC in my case. PRAISE TO THE LORD . . . cause He is my GOD and a good God of 2nd chances. I am going to have my lap-band fixed and I will get healther . . .:sun_smiley: again. I am coming back online and in hope of being a great lap-bander. I had to leave the board for a while cause it hurt so much not having my band function or know if it were ever going to, again. Being with you all on the board only made me think about it all the more. June 5th will be 8 months since my band leaked and with the three denials by UHC, and finally getting a GREAT, GREAT lawyer who specialize in the appeal process, I had done all I could and had to just go on with life and leave this prayer request up to the Lord. It was too hard to tell you all just how bad I really was feeling or to share my exsperence with help to any one of you. The best I can exsplain, it was like living with a death where they could not find the body.:faint:
BUT NOW PLEASE, can I ask all of you to PRAY WITH ME that my surgery will come and find everything right with my stomach so I can quickly have the best possible tool replaced by our good Dr. Voellinger. Cause I do desire to live healthy and without the complications of continues obsisty (8 months and going from a size 12 back up to now a 16) and all the many, many terrrible associated health issues of my family... WHAT A BLESSING I have to look forward to!!! I appreciate your very kind messages and prayers that I know will follow. I have missed each of you more than you could possible know.
