*laughs* I'm not really all that bad, but when I go in to see my Dr on Tuesday, I'm going to tell him to fill me up. Think he'll blush? hehe
I just suggested to Dawg that we order pizza. Am I nuts?? Sure I could swallow that goop with no problem, but HELLO?!
I need that fill baby. I'm NOT falling down now. NOT NOT NOT!
Say it with me.. Fill me up Doc! *laughs*
(this was in fun, all fills should be carefully considered, being overfilled could cost you your band!)
I can relate. My first fill is this Wednesday. I have a 4cc band so I think he'll put in about 1.5 cc
Because butter my bottom and call me a biscuit-today I ate an entire dinner including a lambchop! First day I feel like I had no band at all. I kinda know what restriction will feel like since I had surgery swelling and not eat more than a cup of anything for 3 weeks. Then I had chicken stuck and then I had some pasta stuck. Today-nothing could get stuck
So just in the nick of time-the Fill Calvary arrive to save the day. I'll let you know how it goes.

:clock: aggressive fills are just cuckoo
Please, please be careful. Too much fill will cause great pain and discomfort. Then you will end up getting a unfill and paying for that. I got a little aggressive this last time and 6 days later, bam. Its better to go at it gradual and sneak up on that restriction. Just my 2 cents on the subject.

Good luck on that fill. Hope you come out problem free and back to the restriction you need to get to your weightloss goal.:cheer2:

Yup! Fill that baby up to the rim!
I think I will request an aggressive fill. I can behave on liquids for a week if I had to but I'm ready to see how this fill business works.

Hey now, I was joking about fillin' er up.
Some may think it's cool to be forced onto liquids for a week BUT...
1. That's NOT healthy
2. You could cause damage to your innards (esogaphus irritation, swelling, etc.)
3. You could cause the band to slip (stomach slips up into the band)
About slipping. I just had a thought. If you take one of those long skinny balloons, fill it with water and tie it off, and then put your middle finger and thumb around the balloon but don't squeeze down on it, and then with the free hand squeeze one side of the balloon. My guess is that some water might move to the other side but distortion of the ballon will be minimal if any. Now pinch that puppy off and sqeeze one end. Doesn't most of the balloon get forced thru your fingers leaving one side of the balloon longer than the other? If so, Im a genius and we should make a video of that as an example of WHY YOU SHOULDNT GET FILLED TOO TIGHT, and what a slip is. *laughs* NO.. I'm serious *chuckles* really...

Who says that bands could slip due to being on a liquid diet? *Brow arches*

Not from being on a liquid diet. From the band being too tight.

I'll be careful mama bear. Don't worry.
I'm sure the doc or the filler guy/gal will work with me on this. But I do plan on going somewhat aggressive. I consider anything over 1.0cc's in a 4cc band aggressive.
I will adjust afterwards if it is too tight. I'd rather start off with a very good restriction and feeling that it's working and then adjusting it down from there. For me.....the idea to start off with barely any restriction, knowing it's not working and getting frustrated is not what I want. I'll be in Tampa for a few days after the fill so I will be able to hit the clinic in no time if I feel like I can't handle it.

My fill went well. The nurse was awesome. I am filled 2.8cc's in a 5cc band. I thought I had a 4cc band. 9.75cm band. I am on clear liquids for 48 hrs and mushies for 72 hours. I could feel restriction taking vitamins...and I even chewed it up and mixed with water. This is a very strange feeling and damn I haven't had food since thursday night. Thank goodness for chicken broth.
