Okay guys...I'm getting ready to leave in a few minutes. My surgery is scheduled for 12:00 today. I've been stress cleaning all morning! :people29:Anyways...just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate them and all of the information that I've obtained from you guys makes me feel really prepared. I feel good and I'm ready to start a new journey. Everyone say a quick prayer for me and I'll see you on the other side of Band Land....

Ok - ready for an update on how it went! All hospitals should have wireless access!!!!

Although the hospital that I was at was so small I'm sure they didn't - - - in which case, the broadband card works wonders!!! :)

I had my post op visit with Dr. V this afternoon. I asked Kim and she had forgotten to ask Dr. V, but did say that he came in on time, so that pretty much means that everything went fine from his end. I did not know if Dr. V would tell me, so I did not ask him. I'm sure she won't be home til later because her surgery was a little later in the day.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the kind words and prayers! They did the trick because everything went well. I was awake :eek:when they wheeled me into recovery and was wide awake the whole time after until around 10:00 last night. I'm a little sore today, but moving around and stuff is a piece of cake compared to a c-section! I was afraid the pain would be like that, but it hasn't been too bad. I feel bloated as all get out and my mouth is extremely dry, but I'm doing the bandster cha-cha.....I can't believe I'm banded!:eyerub:


I just took some pain medicine, and I'm starting to feel a little woozy...so, I'm going to jump off of here.

Yeah Shelley - I am so happy for you!!!!! I am sorry I did ask Dr V and he said all went well. We had seminar last night and I didn't get home till after 9 and I was just too tired to remember anything.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone! I am doing good....each day is better and better. I even worked from home some on Thursday and Friday. (Although, I think I probably should have milked it and taken those days to rest because Friday night was a doozy with port pain.) All is well now though. I am sipping and walking and the scale is moving. I never thought refried beans would sound so good though...I gotta tell you. I can't wait for my follow-up appointment on 5/7. Most of the time I'm not hungry at all, but I would say once a day my tummy really gets to growling and I'm kind of bored with the soups and shakes. :feedme:Oh well, only another week and I'll get a little more variety. You guys are the best....every question that I've had since surgery, I've been able to come to the board and find something posted that would reassure me I wasn't losing my mind! Thanks for the continued support. I hope that I'm able to help others starting this journey and full blown into the journey, just like you guys have helped me. :bandlove:

Best of luck to you! I know you'll do great! The port pain will last the longest, but it will eventually go away. Remember, walk, walk, walk. That will get rid of any gassyness you have :eek:, and take it easy! You'll probably feel better before your body is fully recovered, so don't push yourself. Hugs to you Shellster!
