Hi - anyone else from Illinois? Ya must be out there - come on in and let's chat about life in the Windy City and surrounding suburbs

a little about me - live outside Chicago in suburbs, engaged, two grown kids and 5 inherited kids, new grandbaby too! Returned to school to get my BA and working on losing weight - not banded - but supported and encouraged here by everyone!

Hi Mo,

Not sure if I have talked to you since I was banded a few weeks ago. I was off work for a week and thankful I took the time off. They found 2 hernias (one of which was a hiatal they fixed...OUCH!) and the other will have to be fixed later. All in all, I have lost about 18 pounds so far and I am glad it is done and over with. Waiting to fell well enough to get some exercise in and I think I will be rocking and rolling.

How have you been doing?

Hey MoOrLess, I'm in southern IL here. Banded on 2-5-07, doing well, lost 28lbs so far. I go back to work friday (so ready). I'd love to do the chat thing with peps from IL.

Hi everyone! I'm not in Chicago, but I lived there for 2 years and I miss it! I lived in Hyde Park...was going to the University of Chicago. I think I'll be back in the fall for a visit. :)

What Chicago surburb? I'm originally from Northern Indiana. My brother lived in Streamwood, IL for 36 years. Just moved to Michigan this year.

I should hide my face - shame on me! I haven't read this thread too much past the time I posted it - forgot it was here lol --- I don't really throw my "suburb" out there - there is so much on the internet already- just send me a PM and I'll happily tell you where I live :)

it would be fun to have a "local" chat - anyone game for it? let me know we can call it the winded windy city gals and guys lol

I'm sincerely sorry I haven't read this thread in a while - I'm in school and raising a family - and just so darn busy I forget my own name some days - I graduate in May - and then hopefully go onto get my Masters starting in the Fall of '07 -- so I'll be more human come summer - I promise!

Hi All I live by Gurnee you know by Six Flaggs I though there werent any one out there by me,Chicago is about 1 hour from me . We visit the museums. zoos ,ect, Glad to meet all of you
