Hi everyone,
I thought I would share my excitement with everyone! I went to a seminar last night to meet the surgeons and it was sooo wonderful and informative. They are a father and son team and are very down to earth kind of people! I woke up 1st thing this morning and made an appointment for Wednesday April 25th to get the process started! :bounce:

I have done the seminar and met with the dietician. I started a journal today and am on a "diet" from now on. I meet with the MD next week, the insurance papers have been filed. You and I will be going through this together it sounds like! Are you as excited as I am?

Congrats taking the first step. . .just wait until it is the week before surgery. Now that is excitement!!! I can tell you from experience, take this time to prepare your mind and body. I lost about 30 pounds before surgery and that is just that much less I have to loose now. For some reason, that gives me a peace of mind that I can really do this with my new "tool". Hope all goes well on your journey.

I've been to a great seminar, but the hospital doesn't take my insurance. However, I am going to the next closest doctor 50 miles away (who takes my insurance) and have my appointment on April 30.
I'm just tired of the WW diet yo-yo. I get to a plateau and I just can't get past it even though I do everything right. I'm 53, my Dad died of a heart accack at age 56, his mother died at age 58. I don't want that fate. I want to live!!
