Walk from Obesity - Boise

Has anyone found out if a walk has been organized here in Boise? If so, who's walking and have you bought your b2g t-shirts and hats yet? If not, wanna organize a group of bandsters to walk?

Boise crew -- We originally planned to have the bbq here on the 7th of October, but since Funny couldnt come that weekend she's coming up the week before which just happens to be the weekend of the Walk from Obesity.

So what I thought we might do is participate in the walk and then meet at our house for a BBQ and a few libations for those who partake. *grins* Could prove to be a very very fun weekend. Anyone who thinks they'd like to join us, please let me know so I can get an idea of how many will be here.

DeAnn (Chevygirl) is going to see if she can change her plans and be here that weekend as well. If she can't, she will be over on the weekend of the 7ths as originally planned and that just gives us an excuse to party again! Woot! *laughs*

PS - I'm trying to get Penni up here for the walk too. Y'all bug her and get her to come! :)

Is there an actual sponsored walk here in Boise?

So we're doing the cook out on Sat. Sept 7 after we walk?

I've been in Portland and I feel so out of the loop!

I -thought- there was one sponsored here in Boise. I remember a lot of coverage of the walk last year being on the news, so I guess I was assuming. I feel like a dork. *laughs*

Any way you could check into that? I googled it and didn't see anything. Maybe Dr C's office knows something. I'll be seeing him in the morning.

Could be just a few fat ladies wearing b2g.net outfits walking around the beautiful city of Boise! LOL!!

As for the cookout.. Yes! The evening of Saturday, Sept 30th, Dawg and I will be having a BBQ at our home for our bandster friends. We will have special guests staying with us: Sara, from Nebraska; FunnyDuddies, from Florida; Chevygirl, from Seattle; and possibly (crosses fingers) Penni60 from California! Add in all the wonderful folks from the local area and this should be a great evening.

Dawg and I will provide the chicken and pork steaks, everyone else can pitch in with side dishes and drinks to share. I'll post a definite time once I figure out what's going on with the walk.

Im going to work on making up some generic flyers for b2g to hand out at the support meeting tomorrow night.

And.. Cheryl is getting banded this morning! Yay!

Uh oh! Well, the BBQ For Obesity should turn out to be a success. Too bad you guys won't be in Louisiana 'cause I'm definitely registered for the Slidell walk.

no walk?? maybe we should just do our own walk. wear the shirts and hit the mall. LOL j/k we will still be submitting any monies from the sales of the shirts to the walk from obesity charities so get buyin people!! Lets support them!!
