Kathy, umm... my face just dropped. WHY did you have to say THAT? You know, about the ice cream?

I bet we could bake them in the oven. Any idea how long at what temp?

Anything in the oven gets cooked at 350 for either 1/2 hour or 1 hour. ANYTHING. Just so you know.

Mike's granny in the mountains used to 'dry' apple slices. They had several apple trees and apples only 'keep' for so long.
Guess they had to find ways to preserve them - so they dried 'em. ..they were yummy too!

If you do them in the oven , place them in a caserole dish, cored and cut in half. Cover them with cinnamon and splenda, and a dash of sugar-free maple syrup, or brownsugar SugarTwin, and a dollop of "I can't believe it's not butter".
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes (covered). Remove the cover and cook an additional 15 minutes, or until tender.
Plate it, and pour over the "syrup", and you won't need the icecream.

London Broil is a thick cut piece of flank or top round steak that is marinated and either broiled or grilled. It is very yummy.

Yummy! We often make baked apples in winter. They remind my of my nanna.
We put dried fruit, a little sugar, sometimes cinnamon or nutmeg, and tiny dob of butter in ours. We bake ours without wrapping in foil or covering them.
We serve it with hot custard. The easiest is what I call "2 by 2 by 2" custard. Blend 2 cups of milk slowly into 2 tablespoons each of custard powder and sugar in a microwave safe jug. Cook for 6 mins in the microwave, stirring after each 2 minutes and voila! It's done!

My MIL told me that she will slice an apple in half and put the little red-hot candies in the cut apple parts - then bake! yum yum - she said (kinda grosses me out though)

Thank you for answering Susan, I missed your question Sunnybunny! Oops!
Plus, Susan did a much better job answering. I'd have said, steak...but cheaper than New York Strips! LOL
