Wondering if anyone does any sports, mostly contact sports. Are you afraid you'll hurt your band? Can you feel your port while working out or playing?
I am interested in martial arts but my hubby is scared If I get kicked or punched I may hurt my band.
I never thought about what if I get punched in the tummy.

Nana, have you talked with a director/master of a Martial art program and ask IF you could have a stomach restriction?

When my boy had brain surgery, he was camo-belt level... he was to begin the sparing on the next level. We decided to pull him out of the program b/c of his skull fracture. The directors/masters assured us that if he ever wanted to continue the program that we could have a head restriction for sparing.

Doesnt hurt to ask...
Marital Arts is a wonderful work out! Id be cautious about my port area too.

Maybe start with something like Tai chi... no contact, but still a martial arts.

Its a great workout!
