Ice Cubes Anyone?

I know that a pregnant woman's basal temp rises by 20% during pregnancy, but holy hot mama batman! Phew!!! :sun_smiley: :Cry:

Anyone have any ice cubes for this smokin hot mama to dip myself in? Only 10 more weeks.......and then the heavens opened up and I heard the angels sing "HAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLEEEEELLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUUJAAAAAAAAAA HHHHHHHHHH, HAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLEEEEELLLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUUUUUJAAA AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"

I ate the pellet ice from Sonic by the bagfuls when I was pregnant! I am a very cold natured person, even when I was heavy. I stayed HOT those last few months! I know I nearly froze Chris to death!

I lived with a fan going and a spray bottle of water close by. The evaporative cooling effect is immediate and sooooooooooooo refreshing!

I drank gallons if ice water when in late-stage preg with DS. Made him kick and squirm. Sometimes I did it just to feel him move. I am evil! hehehe.

My manager at work had her baby in December and she had always been cold natured. But those last months were hell for her. She was always hot! It would be like 65 in our office and clients would complain that it was too cold but she would be fanning herself! It was the craziest things in the world! We all bought space heaters to stay warm! Good luck, I'm sure your sweet little one will be well worth the sweat!

Oh lord.. by the time that i was 8mths preggy... i wanted to die. I hate to be hot, and being preg made it worse. I would take freeezing cold showers and bought a fan to sit on the floor at work under my desk cause if it blew in my face, my eyes dried out.
Too many issues!!!!!!!!

Things I did to cool off when preggo:

I'd stick my head in the freezer for minutes at a time. Also, (gosh this is funny to me looking back on it) I would keep the A/C thermostate set so low Mike swore he would see smoke coming from his breath.

Eating ice is a great preggo idea! I cant believe I never did that... ???

You know what I just thought of? When I first got preggers, I had to fill out a questionairre (sp) and I remember it was asking if I ate dirt I think it was... or if I had any desires to eat dirt. I was giggling so hard, because I had never heard of such a thing.

Ewwwwwwww. Yes, I answered that same question Heather. It's a condition called Pica, and it's when you have the desire to eat non food things like dirt, ashes, or clay, or things like that. Blecht! It's caused when you have severe vitamin deficiencies and is usually remedied with vitamin supplementation. I can't imagine. *barf*

Now today the weather changed, and it got cold in our house. So I actually had to turn the heater up a bit. Weird.
