I'm Jer, I'm glad to meet you. I'm a bit shy about posting here... I'm pretty reticent to discuss the whole weight thing at all, but for some reason the idea of this lap band keeps popping up. I thought I'd better learn some more about it, and a friend from my birth community directed me here. I'm not even sure I can frame my questions properly yet, so I expect I'll lurk a lot and hopefully absorb some good info. Thanks for having me!

When I was first considering the band I couldnt soak up enough information. I spent days just browsing the net collecting information about the band. I was really excited when I found a community of people that were willing to share their first-hand knowledge and experiences. b2g is a great resource for educational information as well as getting support from people who are banded. I'm sure it wont be long before you are bursting with questions and comments of your own.

HI JER!! Welcome to b2g! I understand the whole "lurking" thing. When I first started my journey 3.5 years ago I found a band site and lurked for close to a year and a half! LOL Never even signed up. Just searched a lot and read what people had to say. It is perfectly normal.

We have FAQ's and instructional information all over the board. We also have a search tool that you can use to gather some info. We have a chat room for real time discussions on everything and anything. When one of the moderators goes into chat we alert people with a post. So if you have any questions you want to ask them look for these posts.

We are so glad you are here, and when you feel right, we would love to see more posts from you. Just don't be afraid to ask!! Questions will bring the exact answers you are looking for.
