Labor just arround the corner :-)

Good morning dear friends.
things r going good for me too :-) my baby is growing well.
but his mother suffers from the slipped band. So my gyn recommends
c-section arround 22 of February so my surgeon can unbutton the band
the same day. My gyn doesnt want me to have a double surgery with a full anaisthesia but with an epidural. So this is what im gonna do!
I'm so exciting i will hold soon my baby boy! i could never being able to be a mom if i had not the band 18 months ago.
After 2 months i will do the full surgery to fix my band.

I can hardly believe it's almost time!! It seems like only weeks ago that you made the joyus announcement about being preggers! I'm so happy and excited for you!

I'm glad you have good doctors that are taking good care of your band in conjunction with your pregnancy. I haven't been able to follow your weight during your pregnancy. Have you gained, lost or maintained? Has the slipped band caused problems with reflux or eating well? I'm sure you've posted this somewhere already, but if you could give me a quick update, I'd sure appreciate it!

i gained 24 lbr back cause the last 2 months i could only eat high caloried liquids and cremes, baby foods, soups etc. i think if i could eat properly like meat, burgers, steaks, vegetables etc i would not gained that much.
i didn't have reflux, but i could not eat. i think its matter of anatomy also!
i don't think that all pregnant women with bands will have the problem that i had. I just was too unlucky.

Hm, I don't think you should say you gained 24 pounds "back". Everyone gains healthy weight when pregnant, and if I had only gained 24 pounds with either of my two kids I would have been ecstatic! :)

I'm guessing that once you have the band fixed so you can eat, you'll be eating meat like there's no tomorrow! I can't imagine being on liquids and mushies for 9 months, but I sure do admire you for going through that for the sake of your baby's health. That just rocks, Mary!

i could eat properly untill 3rd trimester, so was not that bad i guess :-)
i missed fried potatoes so much :-) :hungry: i wanna eat only fried potatoes for one week lol :-)

Mary congrats and how exciting!!!! Best wishes and my advice is REMEMBER everything cuz it FLIES by!! When you hold him, remember how his little everything is on him and how his head sits in the crock of your elbow and his bummy in your hand! They are so amazing. Oh, and follow your instincts!!

It’s good to hear you are doing well despite the band issues. Good luck with your c-section! Your nursery is precious and I love the outfit. Post pics of the little man as soon as you feel up to it. You know we are all dying to see him. And 24 lbs weight gain in pregnancy is awesome! Textbook weight gain. You’ll have it off in no time!
