So, today was exactly one week after my consultation with Dr. Snyder. I have been thinking about it all week long, but finally tonight I weighed myself.
And I have lost 10 pounds! In one week! I am shocked. I really have done well with what I have been eating, and stopping when I was feeling full. I drink way more water than is they tell me too (and NO pop or coffee or anything like that) and it is SO paying off.
Now I know what they are talking about when they say that going into surgery healthier makes you recover faster. I never imagined I would go into surgery any different than the weight and condition I was at consultation.
AND NOW I GET TO UPDATE MY TICKER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish this was a live camera chat or something so you guys could see my face. It is starting to hurt because I have been ear to ear for the past 20 minutes since I got on that scale.
And let me tell you, my husband and I both tested it. Zero-ed it out and adjusted it, and we just couldn't make it say anything more than 10 pounds less than what I weighed exactly a week ago.
It all makes sense now that my blood pressure wasn't high at all at the cardio apt (no matter what torture they put me through).
OK, I'm rambling. I will stop. I just can't help it.
