Hello everyone -
I just heard about this site today and I am so excited about it! I was on lapbandtalk.com for awhile and remember a few of your names/faces.
I've been banded since June 5th of this year. I turned 30 on August 11th and returned to college last month. To say the least it has been a super busy year. While I have lost about 15 pounds since the surgery I think I'm stalled right now. I've had two fills and am going in for a third next week. I am having a hard time with portion control and exercise. I think reality is starting to set in and I'm working really hard to make some serious changes in my thinking.
I have been married to my dear, dear hubby, Tim for two and a half years now and we are finally taking our honeymoon at the end of this month. (yay!) No kids yet although we are talking about it but we do have 2 1/2 cats. Two full time and one half-time. lol
I am looking forward to getting to know more people who have been banded and try to keep myself connected better. I tend to be a bit of a hermit and for some reason find it difficult to ask for help when I need it the most. My counselor (yup, I'm officially nuts) has told me repeatedly that I should look into a regular support group meeting but with my schedule it is so difficult to fit it all in. Wah-wah, I know - I'll put on my big girl panties now and stop crying.
Anywho, that's all for now. It's late and I am trying to make sure I get my 7 hours of sleep each night.
Ta-ta for now!
