I bought MS Digital Image Suite 9, but I wish I got photoshop.
There are sooo many more classe and tip sheets out there for photoshop.

For Professional use or just for emails/hobby? I just futz around.
I use two different programs, both were free. I use IrfanView to resize photos and to fix red-eye, but it has some fun stuff too. I use Picture It! Express to paint over and to correct color, contrast and tint.
I think I found IrfanView as a download at ZDNet and got Picture It! Express on a free disk at Walmart.

You can do a whole bunch of stuff with irfanview, it really is quite advance for the free user.
If you want something incredibly powerful (but incredibly complicated too), You can always get the GIMP. It's also free. It's a bit of a resource hog on Win32 systems but if you have plenty of memory you should be fine.

I have Adobe Photoshop - I like it pretty well. I'm sure I'd like it better if I'd take the time to learn how to use some of the more advanced functions! lol

Go to "image" on the toolbar and find "Resize/Resample" I usually shrink 'em by "half" each time, because I don't like messing with pixels..

I also like to make my photos look hand tinted by reducing the color saturation. Cool feature!

Before you go out and spend alot of money on a photo editing software package, consider the open source GIMP camp.
I use it for work constantly. Free, easy and works on all platforms.

503 - Is this the software you use for stitching together the photos in the gallery section?

Yes it is...All you need to do is resize the images to the size you want, create a new image which is the width of both images added together. Then use select all, copy and paste to put them into that new image.
If you have problems contact me and I will definitely help.
