Hey this is important and was wondering if you all could put my mom’s tag # in your car and be on the look out for it. I know they can take the tag off and change them but the more people we have looking for it the better.
She has a convertible mustang, white body with a black top. There is a black stripe around the bottom. It is the newer model.
Her tag# is LSW-6825
The police report number is H0111073600
She lives of Albemarle Rd but they could be anywhere at anytime. That is in East Charlotte.
If you see it or the tag please call the police and tell them. I included the report # so they could get to it quicker.
Thanks in advance for your help.
(Please feel free to pass this along to anyone that lives in the area)

No way!!!! I am so-o-o-o sorry. Some people are just horrible taking advantage of others. But tell her that we have a friend here in our area that had their plain old van stolen from their nice upper middle class neighborhood. It was found two weeks later in another NC city with little to no damage. They are loving having it back and the insurance gave them some money to fix it back up to like new condition. . . . I am praying it all works out that well for your Mom. But I will be looking up here also.

Kim,
I kept my eyes peeled this afternoon when I walked to my car and on my way home. Will continue to watch out for it....man, that bites. I would be ticked off! Hopefully she'll get it back fast and with no damage...
Prayers going out to ya.....

:bounce: :bounce: THEY FOUND IT!!!!!!!!
Mom got a letter today in the mail. It's a garage in Greensboro. We don't know what condition it's in. She called the garage and the guy she talked said when he came to work he told the person he wanted to buy that car. He was told he couldn't it was a recovered stolen car. He said he could see the right wheel busted out and it appears to be driven on blown. So we don't know what kinda damage there is. Mom said she has 10700 miles on it so we don't know who many miles are on it or anything. She has a call into the insurance company of course they aren't there at night so we should know more tomorrow.
So our thoughts were the guy either blew the tire some how and left it stranded or he was running from the police and that is how the tire got busted. So we will see what comes and I will keep ya'll all posted.
Mom is happy but now nervous to find out what kind of damage has been done. YIKES!!!!
Let the next set of craziness start.

Found out today it's coming home to Charlotte. Not sure when but mom was asked where she wanted evaluated and she said Town and Country. Becuase if they don't like what they see the guys there will total it for her so she can get a new one. So her baby is coming sometime soon. I will try to go so I can take pics....She is so stressed right now. She said she felt since it happened someone was watching her and now getting it back she feels even more intruded on. Poor thing!!! All I can say is I love my momma!

Oh Kim, I am sorry about all of this. Of course you love her; she is like you. It's going to be made right; getting the car back is a good start. But remember to tell her it's just stuff and it's not really family though we always call them our family car. . . it's just stuff.

Awww, it really is just STUFF.
But I know it's hard not to feel very violated when someone does soemthing so Rude! Ick. You sit in that seat and wonder who sat in there while the car was away...eewwwwww.
Anyhow, Town and Country Ford will take good care of her. :thumb: Keep us posted!
I'm glad she got her car back too! And I agree with everyone that at least it was a car--I watched Oprah yesterday--an episode about the two boys abducted in Missouri. I'm really believing for the healing of their minds.
I would have gone absolutely crazy had I been one of those parents.
We all have to watch out for each other!

Wow, Kim, that is great that she got it back! So, have you seen it yet? What kind of shape is it in? If it was a brand new Mustang, they probably wouldn't have messed it up too bad. They would want to keep it in good condition for sale value. If they drove on the rim, that can be replaced fairly easily. I LOVE Mustangs and the new body style rocks! I'm glad your mom is getting hers back!

All I know is that a friend of mine had her car stolen and we wish it had never been found. The insurance comp refused to call it "totaled" but in essence, it was. The robbers didnt do much outside dammage, but what ever they did, did do stuff to the motor. And for lack of a better term.. they did "things of a nasty nature" inside of the car.
im just gonna leave it there.
**shudder*** some people are just nasty

Sorry - it made it back to Charlotte. There are a few scratches and dents on it that weren't there before. They were going to check the suspinson and engine stuff today or tomorrow as yesterday they checked just body. It's going to need a new ignition (I spell horribly) becuase the people have the key and they know where mom lives. So it's going to need all new stuff. So they are going to total it up and they might come out better buying a new one. So the story continues....on a good note dad finally got his car back from the shop from when the lady hit him right before Christmas. :)
Thanks for asking....
