Hi everyone,
I'm English but live with my Greek hubby in Athens, Greece and so it would be great to hear from fellow bandsters in either country.

Where the heck is my baklava? If I am to pedal my bike all the way to Greece (on the ships as well - using recumbant/stationary bikes) I will want my darn baklava Ali!!!!!

Oh it's here sweetie, waiting for you. It's all gooey and mushy and a gorgeous green colour (it's been here since May-what's taking you so long?), but it is here. You want me to hang on to it? Give it a few more months and it'll make a great medical exhibit somewhere.

Ah hahahahaha. No that's quite alright. I reckon you could give it a toss in the trash can. You'll just have to make me some fresh baklava.

Whoa....wait a minute- no-one mentioned making it! There are limits you know and as much as I love ya, I think going to the shop and buying some fresh, slightly before your arrival will do just fine. OK by you?

So um... how did the story end?
Was Paul's garlic baklava too powerful for Telly, rendering her in a coma?
Was Telly so in love with the garlic filled baklava recipe that she stole it and started her own Greektalianlish deli that promises to be bigger than Subway?
Ah the endless potential for a great soap cliffhanger.....

Hey A1ikou, I spent almost 12 years living in England. Fortunately I was of a size that I was still comfortable in airline seats. Was there from 71-82. Had a good time but felt a need to return to the good ol' USA.

Whereabouts did you live? I am from the northwest and lived near Manchester for most of my life. I would suppose 71-82 showed quite a few differences in lifestyle too!
Moving from England to Greece has been an adjustment and I confess I still do sometimes get homesick but then I usually hop on a plane and go, so its not all bad!

I lived in Bradford and worked first in Leeds and then got an apprenticeship in Denholme (between Bradford and Keighley). Later moved to Keighley, went to college for teacher training and moved to Barnsley before returning to states. I did enjoy my time living there but have not been back since. I have remarried and my wife wants very much to visit, so we will probably make the journey in the next year or two.
I have one son who was born in Keighley and he wants to go visit also (we moved when he was only 2), but just with Dad. He will have to wait until the first visit is completed. I am actually looking forward to visiting again and seeing all of the changes.

Aaaah good old Yorkshire! All my family are from Yorkshire (me too) orginally and moved across to Lancashire because of dads work. There is some beautiful country around there and when you do go back for a visit - which always feels different than living there- Im sure both son and wife will be happy they went!

We are in the process of planning a trip now. It probably won't happen until fall of 09, but it will happen and we look forward to it. I look forward to showing my wife all of the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Moors and Emily Bronte country (Haworth is right next to Keighley, where I used to live for a while).

Hi there! I am flying into Heathrow on the 10th of June. I will be meeting up with my DH there and staying in London for 3 days, then off on a 14 day cruise. I am wondering if I will have any problems finding my protein bullets there or if I should just bring them with me.

Hi KristiR, Our resident UK member (who secretly lives in Greece) is currently on holiday (I know because she is here in NY and I had dinner with her), I am sure when she returns she will be more then happy to answer any and all questions.
