Organizing for the Florida Obesity Walk

Ok guys and gals, we want a representation for the b2g site at one of the florida Obesity walks. Tricia has posted a threa about the orinization here: http://www.band2gether.net/showthread.php?t=83

Lets get us floridians, and anyone willing to come down and walk with us, in there respresenting the b2g family. Telly will be with me, and I am telling you know this is an important thing...you should do this!!

Now there are a few Florida locations that this can be done in. We need to decide which walk we want to go for.

Tampa Bay: Leaving from the Westshore Mall and is being held on September 30th.

Celebration (basically Orlando): Leaving from the little hub of Celebration and is also being held on September 30th.

So where do we want to do this at? I can tell you that the Westshore mall here is nice, and has some great shops!! LOL I don't know if it will all be inoor, but we love that mall. its where we go to take the kids trick or treating. Anyone know about the other locations? anything to share? Please do!!

I am going to post a link for this in the original thread by tricia so that if anyone wants to come own from outside the state we can get them to join it.

once we pick the spot we will get us all signed up, and get the plans underway.

I'm in as you stated. Do we do it as a group under 1 application? Or do I print out my own form, get the donations, fill it out and turn it in myself? I was thinking maybe we turned it in as a group. No?

I am not sure yet. What I was thinking is doing a group, but we need to have individual donation sheets and such.

Sherri wants to come down and walk with us as a group. Yay Sherri!!

oh and I vote for Tampa, because if it is inside the mall then it will be easier to go more miles than if it was in the heat. Just a thought.

Funny - you are way too busy these days....The walk is at the Westfield Citrus Park Mall, not Westshore. Unless the plan was to walk from Westshore to Citrus...

Dam P.F. Chang's is at Westshore, whats a walk without a goal!! Pardon the correction...

I'll be in Tampa twice this month. Yay! Ok I have my room booked Funny..for the 15th. I get my fill early that day and then off to the room. Do we meet up afterwards? Plus I know you are heading out of town that very night. If so, we can meet during the walk. No rush to meet on a day you have to leave out.

Ok ya'll. Anyone who is doing the walk in florida needs to get with telly so that they can get organized. Due to a scheule conflict I will not be in town. But I will be doing the walk in Idaho on the same ay, wearing my tshirt and supporting the site.

Hey, I'd like to be able to hand out some information about B2G if I can...leisurely as I walk. I want to get the word out.

Ok so what's the deal folks? The walk is this Saturday. I wanted to head on out to Louisiana but..I may not be able to ..for the walk. I maybe able to do local ..celebration walk or Tampa...anyone interested please let me know. I will hand in my donation and sponsor money wherever I walk b/c I have not registered yet.
