but i have a question, are the "texans" north of dallas REALLY texans??

hehe, lol, when i was 7, my momma put me in the little miss texas pageant. (yes i won) a lady was talking funny and i said she sounded like a yankee. one of my fellow contestants daddy heard me and asked if i even knew what a yankee was. i promptly responded

" well, shoot yea, a yankee is anyone who was born north of dallas."

i have no idea where i got that notion, but i remember being just as sure of myself, as i was that that lady was a yankee. crazy the things we come up with when we are little.

I was born in Dallas, and now live in Sanger...never lived anywhere else, but TEXAS!
Love the state, not too fond of the weather....

Well, I've lived in Texas for 12 years now, so not a native (But I got here as fast as I could...LOL!!). I'm a Michigander, but I do like Texas and the weather is okay with me...(ya'll go up to northern Michigan in January). I do live north of Dallas, but still in the Metroplex area!! Well, nice to see everyone (notice I said Ya'll in this post....I do know some of the lingo now...lol)

Well it look like there is going to be a lot more room in Texas with the number of people being banded. I'm from Texas now after bouncing around for a number of years. Love the weather and the people here. Now you have a very nice "Texas" day. :wink2:
