Hello,

My names is Bj and I am scheduled for lap band surgery on 12/4/06. I am anxious, excited, and nervous. I was going to have the Fobi pouch, but chickened out. A bit radical for me. I am 47 years old and soon to be 48 in a few weeks....December 25th. Over the past 10 years I have gained about 10 pounds a year and it doesn't want to leave, I'm putting a leash on it and try to get control of my morbid obseity. I weight 285 pounds. I weight 155 pounds until (1)quit smoking; (2)got married; (3)moved 3,000 miles from home; (4)had 1st baby; (5)went back to college full time; (6)graduated with BS; (7)had 2nd baby; (8)moved back 3,000 miles; (9)re-entered business profession and sit at computer all day; and (10)complete graduate school. Now it's time for those pounds to melt away (yeah, right!).

We each have our scale to obseity, and want to break the chain.

I am very anxious to interact with veterans that have been down the road and soldiers that are on the band wagon.....no pun intended........

Congrats on wanting to be a loser, you have taken a good first step. Once your band is in place (AND HEALED) you will definitely see the weight melting off.

I reccomend that you sniff about these forums, there are some great threads for preebs like yourself...items to bring with you, things to be prepared for, and ideas on foods you can stuff in yourself when the time comes.

This is the easiest place in the world to find help, if you can't find it on your own, stand on a box in the middle of the room and shout, "HEY YOU LOSERS GET OVER HERE!". Works like a charm.
