Did the 10km pretty easily, in 1hr 12 minutes (I think, didnt see the digital clock as I went under it, too busy smiling for the camera). Doug timed me though. So I'll see when the official results are posted.
Awesome! I love those big events, the atmosphere is so good. I hit 9km and I could pretty much feel there was NO glycogen left in my body:wacko:, my legs were turning to jelly, lol. Next time for that distance I'll take some gatorade and some sports beans or something, I just relied on the drink stations which was water.
The kids and Doug came and were on the sideline cheering, I really hope my kids are taking in something from watching my journey, Ewan was talking about doing a kids event, which would be wonderful!
We went out for breakfast later, for some insane reason I chose a fruit and yogurt platter, and of course, within half an hour I was starving again, should have had eggs or something. And we had to park half an hour's walk away from the start line and walk back, of course Eliza wouldnt walk and insisted it was me that piggy back her all the way home, ugh. Talk about tired. I had all the energy of a wet noodle for the rest of the day.
But today I feel really really proud and am going to enjoy my day's rest. And I hit 82.8kg this morning!
