May lap band meeting

Hi everyone,

The May meeting is Monday, MAY 23 at Saint Alphonsus. I think I will eat at Golden 'corral instead of Applebee's. If you have a lapband card you can eat for the price of a nine year old. You can have a salad and whatever protien you want. I will be there about 5pm if anyone would like to join me. I know Susan(P'nut) won't be there, but I hope she'll be at the June meeting.

What's a lap band card?

For me, going to the golden coral would be like entering the jaws of hell. Me in an all- you-can-eat buffet??? I'd pop my band, and without looking back once!

A lap band card is just a card you get from your doctor when you had surgery that says you have a lapband. That's where I got my original card. You still have to be in control of what you eat. When you feel full you quit. I thought it would be bad too but it is actually better for me because I don't feel like I've spent money on a meal that I can only eat a little of. I can choose what I want and it's about half the cost. It doesn't do me any good to take home a doggy bag because I don't seem to be able to eat reheated meat of any kind, so I just end up throwing it away. If enough people decide they want to go to Applebee's and meet I will go there instead.
