Me, too! I have been thinking about what to do...so I guess we can discuss it with the group on Saturday at lunch, as well as the Ashville trip by P'nut.

Woohoo! A week from Saturday!

I'll get into Asheville around 4pm. I will need time to rent my car and get checked in at the hotel, which I believe will be staying at the Days Inn on Tunnel Rd. Thanks again to Tonya for giving me a great list of suggestions!

Can we pick someplace close to that? Tonya said the big mall is there and there are tons of places to eat too. I'm thinking I should be able to meet for dinner at 6pm.

Kathy, I know that's not Black Mountain like we talked about but I do hope you can still come. Remember my offer.. it still stands. I want you there!

Black Mountain was easier because I was the one giving directions...thank God for Tonya! If the Big Mall is the one I know at Hwy 70 and Tunnel Road (there used to be an Annabelles there, if that dates me Tonya, LOL) then I'm with you! I can do that easy!

Kathy, that is the mall you're thinking about. Annabelles is not there any longer. There is another restaurant where Annabelles used to be, but I can't think of the name of it right now.

There are a TON of restaurants on Tunnel Road! Pick a major chain and it's probably right there. Let's see, going from the tunnel east there's Don Pablo's, Cracker Barrel, Outback, Lonestar, Mikada, Applebee's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Carrabba's, IHOP, and Chili's. There are other privately owned places and of course tons of fast food, too.

I do church on Saturday night so I couldn't be there until between 6:30 and 7:00 (Mass starts at 5:00 and what time I get out depends on how longwinded Fr. is on the homily.) For brunch on Sunday morning, the Days Inn is very close to IHOP if you like them or there are lots of other options both on Tunnel Rd. and downtown. I can give you lots of suggestions!

Hello everybody! Like others, I rarely leave the NC forum; so as long as I know where to find you, I'm fine with the change. I won't attempt to keep up with two forums.

I look forward to Saturday, but may end up going into work afterwards. Fortunately that's right across the street from the restaurant.

Between the physical changes I'm going through (weight & hair loss, and female issues), trying to sell/buy a house, and changes in both location and quantity of work I do; I'm not coping very well right now. I think I understand what bipolar folks go through. I'm generally happy, but simultaneously overwhelmed and stressed. :dizzy: Praise God, journaling is keeping me from using food to self-medicate.

No for my new friend Gloria, from Matthews, who was recently banded in MX and had back surgery today! So, she's excused. I haven't heard yet how she is, and I don't expect her home for...I don't know how long! I invited her and THAT was her excuse not to come. Heh.

I also looked up mom2mygirlz from LBT, we have been PMing, she just moved to the area, but she can't come this time. Maybe next? They just bought a house.

Yes Wavy we need to start a an intro thread like we did on the other board so people that come here will introduce themselves and we can keep up with everyone. What time are we meeting there tomorrow...11:30? I have to leave by....12:40?... We are looking at a house in the area at 1:00. Wavey, we drove by one in your neighborhood on Sunday LOL...drove right up behind your house and I was like...Is that Jills house. And of course paul made total fun of me that I was totally lost and didn't know where we were. If anyone knows of a nice rental....at least 3 bedrooms/pets allowed/ fenced yard perferablly for around 1000-1200 a month let me know. The one we are looking at tomorrow is in Davis lake. Oh and Jill are you bringing Kirsten? If so I might bring Karah. NM I'll just call you in a minute LOL.

Warning to all, I'm in "feeling sorry for myself" mode. LOL I'll be banded a year in another month and I have even reached the half way mark. I feel like such a failure. I don't know if I'm too tight...because some days I can eat anything ...well not anything, but for example this morning, I ate half of an english muffin toasted with peanut butter...before 8 and before coffee. But yesterday at lunch I slimmed on some cheese and lunchen meat...no bread at all. I don't get it. I'm not sure what I'm going to brave enough to eat tomorrow....might stick with soup.

I vote for Outback Steakhouse for dinner on Sat, Sept 16th. I know their menu has some great options for bandsters, so it feels "safe" to me. Should we plan on meeting at 6pm? I know a few said they might be later, so we can just chat and drink iced tea until the rest arrive. Sound ok?

Also, on Sunday, Sept 17th, we will be meeting for breakfast at 10am. I think Tonya mentioned there was an IHop nearby which works for me. Eggs, bacon, and some fruit would be perfect. Who's planning on having breakfast with FunnyDuddies, her family, and me?

Some of you were planning an overnight in Asheville. Are you all staying at the Days Inn on Tunnel Rd? If you are, we can have an all night party! Woot! Thats where I'll be staying. Who's in?

Susan - I can't promise I will be there sunday morning but if you can get me the address of the IHOP I will do my best to get there. I will be with my friends that are a late sleepers plus we will have to get packed and be on the road by 9 to get to Ashville in time to meet up with you. So if I miss it maybe I can just meet you for a quick hello on our way through. But the chance to meet Funny and her family would be an added perk.

Missed you guys. I felt really cruddy today my throat is wierd...sshhhhh...I could hardly drink anything until after 3:00 I had soup and a few bites of Garry's chicken and a 2 string cheese. I'm exhausted. Do you guys ever feel real bad after a PB throwing up session. This was my 1st REAL bad one. I will not let it happen again. I was so ticked off GArry had the check paid and I still had my soup in fromt of me..To bad I am not rushing. He did feel bad and said he didn't realize I was still eating. OK my bed is calling me Lucy had me up again last night...I hope to sleep tight tonight!

Dianne, no overnight for me. My sister is thinking of joining me for a quick road trip. We'll leave at 3pm and drive to Ashville for dinner, then head back that night. My kids are young...church Sunday...I just can't be gone. But a road trip is just my speed! So it's still brewing here, I'll push for a definate Yes from my sister and confirm my plans with hubby and I'll be set to go. Here's hoping!

Dianne I did get your message...but with all the phone calls at lunch my phone died. Then we went to a friends, then a birthday party and we are just getting home.....Trying to get the boy to bed but he isn't wanting to go. UGH!!!! So to answer your question yes it's happened and I just nursed it with liquids and soup....It happens to me when I eat something hot, like spicy. Who knows...I use some prevaicd solutabs and I am pretty good. Hang in there...I have actually done pretty good lately, which means I might finally after 14 months be learning to slow down.

Kathy thanks for the toys...we are heading out there tomorrow for his birthday party so I will take them with us then.

di, I go to a Ladies Bible Study at my church every Thursday from 10-11:30am in Huntersville. The Associate Pastor teaches it, and some days it's like mini-seminary, but I enjoy it alot! You are welcome to join me! I'd also be interested in doing an online thread, or maybe there's an online study we could all participate in?

Awww, I didn't think about anyone not being able to drive at night. :( I guess I just take that for granted? I wish I could be away for an overnight but I just can't. Money is a factor, but responsibilites at home with 2 young children is the biggest reason I need to head back that night.

Angie, what about you? You just started your job, do you have to work now? Is this even possible?

Hi everyone! I saw JTTaurus (RNY friend) at lunch today; she looks amazing! I think she said she's down ~80 lbs. now.

I'm fighting a funky mood. I'm stressed with changes at work, and I'm physically tired from working on the house. I thought about adding more iron to my vitamin regimen, but my multi has 100% daily recommended allowance. I don't like to whine, but don't want to remain MIA either.
