Hi there everyone, I am new to this site but have been on lapbandtalk.com for a few weeks and love it there. I am 35 and the mom of 3 kids 14yo dd, 9yo ds, 3yo dd. I am busy busy busy as a stay at home mom and pt student (on the 20year plan) I have struggled with weight since my junior year, I am DONE. The prediet has been hmmmmm. interesting I guess (at best) I have learned so much about myself I never thought I would. I am stronger than I thought but at the same time not as strong as I want to be. I can do this, I will do this, I KNOW I can!! I hope everyone is happy and healthy and gl to everyone whatever stage u are at.

By the way if anyone has any suggestions for post surgery they are certainly welcome. specifically diet ideas, what to eat? I bought the campbells soup at hand as well as the other stuff reccomended (jello, pudding, popcicle etc)

One more thing, I noticed there are lots of people on here from lapbandtalk.com fyi my screen name is itsuptome over there.

WELCOME! You have come to the right place! If it where not for these nice bandsters, I would not be sitting here 3 days post op feeling like a millon bucks!!! Recovery from any surgery sucks, but you quickly start to feel better and I am already losing, so it's very worth it. I am 35 and a stay at home mom for 2 little girls and I have battled wieght my whole life. I want them to see me eating the right way so they don't have the same struggle. Not to mention, I want to forgo any weight related health problems. We're in it together on B2G! I am addicted to this site!

Hiya Julie! Welcome welcome! So glad you found us.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you were banded today! Woohoo! Welcome to bandland! Be sure to let us know how you're doing. And once youre home, sip sip sip that water to stay hydrated, get lots of rest but also get up and walk around as much as you can. It really helps speed up the recovery and get that gas worked out of you.
