 I have lost 30 pounds. Made it through Thanksgiving ok. I am being able to eat really anything. My first fill is Dec.11th. Can anyone tell me if the fill will make me feel like I did right after my surgery. I don't like the fact that I can consume food again. I have watched my weight the last 3 days and it stays the same. I guess I got excited when I was not hungry after the first 3 weeks. Will the fill bring me back to that stage of feeling full and not allowing me to eat as much? Thanks for any advice:wacko:

Hi Tropical,
I just got my first fill this past Wednesday. I don't feel like I did just after surgery, when I had absolutely no hunger. I am hungry, but I am definitely less hungry and get full on less food. Granted, I'm on liquids until Sunday, but I was always starving on my liquid diet the first time around. I'm not starving this time, but am definitely hungry.
I understand what you mean about not liking that you're able to consume food, and more of it. I was starting to take liberties here and there, and I didn't like it. I was so worried that I was going to lose control and return to my old demons. I was glad it was time for my fill, as I'm hoping it will help keep me in check. So far, so good with this fill. I'm thinking that if liquids are doing a good job of keeping me decently satiated, then mushies and regular food should do even more.
Today my hunger wasn't bad and here's what I've had so far - 16 oz of water on the way to work, 60 calorie liquid yogurt drink around 9:30am, 16 oz of water, 150 calorie cambell's soup at 12:30, 8 oz of water, 175 calorie mashed potatoes at 3pm, 8 oz of water, 70 calorie protein drink on way home from work. That's only 460 calories so far. I'm not quite hungry yet for dinner, but I'll probably end up having some soup in about an hour. So I would have to say that so far, the fill is a success if I'm not starving eating only 600-700 calories a day.
Congrats on your 30lb weight loss so far. That is great! Hang in there. You'll have to let me know how your first fill goes.

Hi gals! I had my first fill a couple of days ago. OUCH. Ok so I am probably being a baby, but it felt like someone was pinching me and then I could hear the liquid going through. Weird!! But, even though I thought I would pass out from a weak stomach, I got through it and have lost 6 lbs since then. I tell ya, I feel hungry, but it goes away with little food, and I dont feel totally full and yucky like I did right after surgery.
Congrats on your weight loss. Having a fill will be a load off the mind. Good luck and keep me in touch!
