I get banded this Thursday morning (3/31/11). I've been on the pre-op diet for almost 3 weeks now....well except for about 3 days. I've broken the diet on three occasions, the LAST one being tonight where I went for the "last supper" to my favorite pizza place. Funny thing is I haven't really felt guilty till tonight, I guess because it's so close to my banding date?

In any event, I hope I haven't screwed up anything. I guess my punishment will be the enema my Dr's paperwork says I have to have. What is the purpose of that thing? Yuk!!

My first real post since my intro a week or so ago. I hope it's not a downer. I've learned a lot from the good folks here. I'll continue to read and look forward to gaining some knowledge, and losing a bunch of weight over the upcoming months.

Enema? I havent heard of anyone having to have an enema... good luck with that :)

I hope that your "last supper" was tasty. I didnt do one of those...but I know a lot who do.

Good luck on Thursday :)

I did not have to do the pre-op diet but I did do the enema (not bad). All in all I got off light. I am told the pre-op diet is very difficult. I wish you a safe journey to bandland :)

Thanks for the support guys. I'm paying for last night's mistake this morning. Hopefully a lesson learned. 24 hours from now I should be in surgery. I can't wait!

that was yesterday - now keep your eyes on the road to banded life! No more 'cheating' - just healthy choices and sometimes mistakes - but cheating just isn't a word I use. Getting banded is a lifestyle change - and yes, most of it is about your 'head' battles and struggles, rather than your physical self. I know you'll do great. Congrats and can't wait to greet you on the other side :)
