Blogs...2 questions about them

I've looked over the blogs site and I can't quite figure it out. I must be missing something. :eyerub: I Think I want to start one.

1) How do I go about starting a blog?
2) What is the idea about the link/button that asks "blog this post" or something like that? I'm not sure I understand what that means...

Ok maybe I didn't eat my Wheaties this morning and that's why I don't understand the blogging stuff. Is there somewhere where this is explained???

Let's see if I can help a bit. I started a blog so I'm a little familiar with it.

First - you start a blog by clicking on the BLOG (tab) on the tool bar at the top of the page.

Then, you look for smaller words under that tab - one will say "My Blog" - click on that

Once you are there - you should see "start a blog(?)" I think it is - click that

One thing to know and be careful with - is that right now all blogs are automatically set at "private"

Find "Blog Settings" (same place you found the smaller worded "My Blog" at top of screen - click that

then on the left-hand side, click "Permissions & Privacy" - - read all of the options - I think there are 4 of them...each one offers you different options

IF you choose public - when people read your blog (which means anyone!) and if the person clicks on "like" it puts a link to your blog on FB.
IF you choose members in your contact list - contacts and friends list only - that means people who have become members here and you must "friend" or accept friendship with them (that's what I set mine at)
The other options are "Other Members" and "Guests"

About "blog this post" - that means that if you see an interesting POST with info you would like to have easy access to, save, or comment on in YOUR blog - the post will show up in YOUR blog as a new entry.

Let's see if I can help a bit. I started a blog so I'm a little familiar with it.

I honestly don't remember if/where it says start a blog -- I'm sorry...but try by starting a first post maybe?

You should see "options" for who can view your blog AS you are starting it up.

Melinda - I forgot to also mention: Default Subscription Mode: options are -do not subscribe, -through control panel (here on B2G), -instantly, using email

these are the ways you can get notification of comments to your BLOG - I myself used control panel - so I see comments when I'm here (versus getting emails for every comment)
