I hate to see Georgia empty.

I'm in the program at Memorial Bariatric Center in Savannah.

East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro, just started a lap-band program.

And the oldest in these parts is Coastal Bariatrics in Brunswick, GA.

It would be great to find local friends to do lunch or whatever.

Hey Joyce! I am in Brunswick with the oldest group..lol. We are having a seminar in October with fashion shows and sucess stories, and all kinds of informative sessions. It is an all day event and you registar for the classes. The fee is 45 dollars. Have you heard about this.

I haven't heard of the event, but why don't you post more contact information here about it. What kind of classes?

I'm kinda disappointed with how Memorial in Savannah is doing this. Almost zero support. I took off on my own to be where I am now.

I've had several friends in Claxton go through Coastal Bariatric in Brunswick and all rave about the program.

My decision for not going down was because Savannah is closer. I may be having second thoughts.

The Bariatric Center at Memorial Hospital in Savannah has raised their BMI surgery limit from 40 to 65.

BMI of 65 or less can now receive Lap-Band surgery.

i am also living in the south east part of georgia and had my band done at memorial. i have had two fills, but yet to experience the tightening i expected. i have requested a third fill to see if this helps.

Hi my name is Doris I am new to the message board. I received my band in Mexico the Johnson & Johnson band on December 7, 2007. I just had my first fill on Feb 4th.
