For those who do not know me..

I was banded by Dr. Richard Collier on March 14, 2006 at the Surgery Center in Houston. (I love and adore Dr. Collier!)

I am 45 years young, my height is 5'4", I have a small frame according to my wrists, my high weight was 219, and my surgery weight was 207. I was private pay because I was BMI under 40 and only one co-morbidity (osteo arthritis), but I was on the borderline of having High Blood Pressure. I have lost 69 pounds from High weight and 57 from surgery weight. I am 20 pounds from goal and yes it is slower and harder, but I am still losing weight!

Dr. Collier is planning to start unfilling in December to start maintaining my weight (that is if the 20 pounds are gone by then). The thought of this scares me to death, because maintenance is where I have failed in the past!

Over the last 6 months I have had emotional and mental highs and lows, but with on-line support groups like this one I have been able to get through them without turning to food. This is a huge NSV for me!

My husband is thrilled by the new me and said his $15,000.00 investment was worth every penny and more. I have already started preparing him for the TT bill next year.

I Love all Ya'll to pieces! (EastTexas Pea-Picker Speak)

Wow MaryB,

I know now that I love you more. It's always good to know where people come from, what's been their demise, etc. I have to say that from the last pictures to the ones in Cancun, I can see a major difference in your facial bone structure, your clavicle, your legs, waist, arms, everything. You look skinny and you look at goal. I am proud of you. Whatever you've been doing, swimming, food portions, food choices, it shows. I hope your daughter can only look at you and think how great it is for you to lead the way for her as she is banded too.

It really has been a cool thing to see you change over the past few months.

Thank you all! You all inspire me too!

Telly - My daughter is doing great! She has lost 40 pounds since her May 16 band date. She is thrilled with her progress. I am thrilled we are doing this together! Tonight we both left the dinner table at the same time with PB issues. No more Girl Scout Foil packs for us LOL!

Hello again Mary!

Every time I see your name, Maryb, I chuckle about my grandson who is just about to turn 3. At his preschool there is another Ethan, so they always add the first letter of their last name to avoid confusion. So now, if you say, "Ethan, whats your name?" He says, "Eeeethan Beee!"

So I always read your name with the same enthusiasm, "Maryyy Beee!" Yes, I know. Sickeningly sweet and typical for a Gram who is wrapped around someone's little finger. hehe

I have always been around a lot of Marys. I have been called Mary Ann, Mary Louise, Mary Sue, Mary Alice, Mary Helen, Mary had a little lamb, Mary Mary quiet contrary, Mary C, Mary B, and Murney. Maryyy Beee is a first! I like it!
