Hooray, I finally got my first FILL!

I had my band and hiatal hernia repair in Monterrey 8/10/06 and it's been a frustrating recovery process....mostly due to the hernia repair. I've gone more than 3 months without any true benefit from the band. So you can imagine I've been frustrated... and have questioned why I went through all of this. Most painful and expensive 44 pounds ever!

I had my first fill yesterday and am hopeful again. I was on liquids yesterday. Today I was full and satisfied for a good 4-5 hours with just a small cup (not a bowl) of soup for lunch, then the insides of a chicken taco for dinner.

Whoohoo! Here's to the road to "Twoterville." Kelli

Congratulations!

Due to other health issues that I had, I went for 1 year and 3 months with no fill at all. Now that sucked! My weightloss was so slow and I was wondering if I'd ever get my fill. But I did, and then everything was worth it.

I just had a small fill after 13 months. I'm only at .75cc in a 4cc band, and I can tell a difference. The fills help. Good for you, and here's to Twoterville! Woot!!!!

I also had a hiatel hernia repair at the same time as my lapband surgery. It hasn't been two weeks yet, so I don't know when I will have my first fill. I have a doctor visit set for next week. The hiatel hernia has been the worst part, very painful on my left side.
