Well today was my apt. for the week of indigestion I had that went away and did come back :( and constant getting sick.
At first he said he thought either a slip or I dilated my pouch from over eatting...He sent me to get upper GI
I knew I didn't over eat so WTF?
Anyhow I go and the man doing it says oh man you are tight! the barium swallow liquid was bouncing from mt throat to the top of my band back and forth over and over and I could feel it (gross) and it was slow slow slow dripping thru my band. I seen it on the Screen for the first time ever so I didn't know what I looked like inside and I thought "Man that area above my band does look kinda big"
Back to the DR. and he looks at them and say no slip- and No stretch! YAY
He said he does not know why but sometime foods will react strange and That I may have eaten something that irritated my tummy and took pepto for it then ate the next day further irritation and swelling until I was so tight water thickness was just bouncing up and down until it could leak down and thru my band.
So he unfilled me to relieve the iteration and swelling after two weeks I can come back when I'm ready for a refill :)

I'm so happy I'm not slipped or Stretched!

I had not been to the DR in 6 months with no issues SO if you ever get BAD indigestion out of no where go straight to Liquids and make an Apt.!
He said a lady came in last week who had not been in for a YEAR and the same thing happened to her! Weird hu...
Okies all is well in band land for Nana~
I'm so happy to not be burping acid tonight!

This is GOOD news, Nana.
So, unfill for ONLY 2 weeks? you can do it!

Ive heard some say that once unfilled, it takes LESS saline to gain restriction. Definately something in our favor!

Thanks for keeping us posted in this!

This is so interesting. My restriction changes so much it makes me wonder. I can't wait to get a flouro fill, even if I get unfilled! just to see what my band/pouch looks like.

Heal up, Nana. Be nice to your band! And enjoy the "no indigestion" zone :D

Oh man that would be horrible to have to live with (the reflux and tightness). I'm glad that they were able to help you with an unfill, and that it was nothing major wrong. Awesome news.

Yes unfills are like starting over- I had one last year I was at 2.4cc's after a month of unfill 1.0 cc closed me off! I had worked my way up to 1.4 cc thats all I had in and I was closed!
So I think when I get a fill 0.4 will be my first amount...

Thanks for the support!

I'm glad to hear you're doing better. You will have to let us know how your fill goes in a couple of weeks!

Thank goodness you are better! It is awesome seeing your band under flouro, isn't it?
I like knowing that it all looks ok.

I am glad you are feeling better, take it easy.
