I say...YEEEESSSSSS! Okay, so creamer may not be considered a clear liquid, but coffee for sure is. :) enjoy!

Hey Margo - Im with Kathy, I say YES! Coffee is fine to have. Just be cautious cause caffine is a stomach irritant. (irritating or not, I still drink the heck outta it!)
Having caffine THIS late doesnt bother your sleeping??
btw: have you tried ice coffee?? I have a yummy receipe if youre interested! One that's naturally decaf, s/f...
My mom isnt a coffee drinker -at all! I made one of these ice things for her and dad. Now they have their 'evening treat' nearly every night! Just let me know if you want it!

You know whats weird, I have not once been told a "Clear" liquid diet from my dr...Strange hu. Ever when I woke up from surgery He had the Hosp give me cream of chicken soup and custard.
I LOVE COFFEE! Esp. the frozen kind LOL

Hey Margo!
Here ya go..
The ingrediants are:
1. General Foods International Suisse Mocha Coffee (they have a couple of flavors, but I like the Suisse Mocha best. This flavor has a s/f version as well. I use both types for my homemade version)
2. small jar of instant coffee
3. skim milk
This is how I make it, but your taste may require a bit of tweaking on other areas...
1 cup of skim milk (approx)
1 HEAPING Tblspoon of regular Suisse Mocha
1 HEAPING Tblspoon of s/f Suisse Mocha
1/2 teaspoon of instant coffee (any brand - this gives the ice coffee a stronger coffee flavor)
Blend for about 2 minutes, then add 1 handful of ice - continue blending. After ice is chopped and blender is no longer jumping on counter, add another handful of ice.
Keep blending until smooth.
You can add more/less ice to desired thickness.
Pour in glass and sip through straw!!!!!!!!!!!
YUMMY!
Let me know if you make it - and how you like it!
I had hot chocolate during liquids but not too hot, coffee
I drink de-caf.

Yummm, I'm on liquids for the rest of the day (last day, whew!) and this afternoon, iced coffee is on my list. I'll let you know what I come up with. Thanks for the recipe, Paula!
